Woot! I've done two good things in the past few weeks. I've finally prestiged and I've went from having a negative KDR to being over plus 200 kills.

I forgot how much I liked the Scar-H before I prestiged.

Prior to this morning, I had never played a Call of Duty game. The lovely and gracious wife bought me COD4 Modern Warfare for the PS3 for my birthday, and I gave it a shot today. After two levels ... (the rain-soaked-ship ambush and the informant rescue), I'm hooked. I will likely be investing in the remainder of the Call of Duty series.

Any recommendations for other games? Which COD games are the best to jump in on after COD4? Are the Clancy games (Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2, EndWar, GhostRecon) or any other military games (SOCOM, etc.) worth looking into as well?

With a handle like "SnakeDoctor", you'd think I'd have jumped on board earlier.

Ghost Recon games were pretty good, and there's a new one on the way. Rainbow Six Vegas are decent and the MP is fun, but not the same as Modern Warfare. All of these can be found used for a good price on ebay or gamestop.

MW2 is overrated and W@W is underrated. You should just pick up World at War and MW2 after your done with MW.

But set your expectations not so high on MW2 multiplayer, it's story is pretty damn enthralling though.

Looks like a Green Beret in Afghanistan on the cover. I think its due out in Nov.
