The Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread

Yea it's a slight difference but it's still there in terms of video and sound. A high def tv will display more detail, and at work playing on a bigger screen with 1080p, I can tell the difference, see more it becomes clearer and crisper than when I run 720p a 32'' at home. So a head I can make out in the distance on the bigger set running the 1080p looks like part of the environment on mine at home.

Man, I know this isn't too constructive, but I can't wait for it to come out. I got my hardened edition on pre-order through Gamestop. Just wondering, but do you guys think that closer to the release date Gamestop will come out with a pre-order incentive or bonus? Maybe a code for a gun or something?

they already do-- free download of Call of Duty 1. this is why i only have the regular edition on order...don't care about the Prestige package and the hardened doesn't come with enough to warrant the purchase.

from what i see, looks like it's very arcade-ish in terms of game play.

Especially when it comes to recoil of the guns. the guys are practically running and spraying while still managing to shoot what they are aiming at. I wish it was a bit more realistic with actual recoil that will affect your shot if you move too much while shooting or just hold down the trigger...

the call of duty franchise has always been a balance between arcade and realism. it makes realistic combat "accessible" to the masses, and delivers pure fun. hardcore tactical buffs would go for stuff like rainbow six and ghost recon - which are not as commercially successful as COD as they are a little more niche.

i play a mixture of shooters - from highly tactical to downright arcade

Bad comparison imo...those are not really online fps games.

Look at the battlefield franchise. very popular and has more realistic than arcade style. Counter-strike is another one.
