Can't wait! No updates on my customs. :(

Still waiting on the Ben head to be completed, and waiting on Small_Studios to start taking heads again for Jack.

Holy Crap!!!

Just finished watching the season premiere.

Best line:

"Locke" to Ben: "I'm sorry you had to see me like that."

So awesome!!!

A while I ago I was actually toying with the idea of buying Ada Chan's Ben sculpt. It looked like one of her better efforts:

However I decided to do the smart thing and wait (patiently) for Andy B to finish his version. And my god am I glad I made that decision after seeing this pic:

It's just a little undersized. And I haven't been able to find a painted version to see just how accurate a sculpt it is.

In the interest of compiling some 'options' for those of us that are making these LOST customs I'll post her other LOST offerings. Some are better than others. Charlie isn't half bad:

I think if given to a gifted painter the likeness would shine through.

Then there's her Sawyer which is a little rough to say the least:

Jack (I still think a repainted Medicom is a solid likeness and is obviously the route I'm taking):

Painted it doesn't fare much better.

Her Locke wasn't half bad, but has obviously been trumped by Andy:

If anyone is looking for any of these here's her site, just be careful and do a little research. I would have been a little on the angry side if I paid for that Ben head and it was THAT tiny... (her others are a little more proportioned).

Gotta say, that Charlie is slightly tempting...

im thinking about letting go of my small studios custom locke figure. its super realistic and i put the sculpt on a narrow true type. it looks amazing. havent got around to putting pics up yet, but if anyone is interested before i put it in the fs thread with pics i can send pics and pricing in a pm.

I just shipped my Medicom Jack off to GDB for some paints. With Small_Studios so busy lately I didn't really want to wait any longer. Can't wait to see what GDB's going to do with it! Hopefully I'll have it back in a few weeks and I can have Jack completed finally!

The irony of shipping it to LA is not lost on me. ;)

I will do my best with it, beeshaw. And as always I hope to have it painted for you within a matter of weeks. :)

here are some quick snap shot pictures of my locke custom painted by small_studios and put on a narrow true type. he is not currently on display so these were just quick shots to show what he looks like in progress.

I think you just sold me on the Charlie sir (head's a little undersized, but not bad) What body do you have him on? Great job! Nice to see someone other than Locke in this thread lol.

Thanks guys!

In the pictures Charlie's head does maybe look a little small, but I don't think is really is. I think it is due to the sweatshirt being oversized and making his shoulders look a lot wider than they are and a foreshortening effect from the camera.

Charlie is on the sideshow shorty body, specifically Oz from Buffy. Sideshow used it for a few figures, but didn't always adjust the arm length so some of them have monkey arms. Oz is ok though. Here's a comparison picture between the regular Buck and the shorty:

Locke is on a G1 with bendy arms. The only one I had on hand was the Tyr from Andromeda body so I really had to do a lot of repainting to get the color right! He has some padding underneath -- not that Terry O'Quinn is in bad shape or anything, but he does have some middle-age spread going on so I tried to capture that.

Yeah, Charlie really does look good! First time I've seen one assembled. I think I'll have to grab one now, for sure. Do you remember where the sweatshirt came from? I've looked for one, but they're hard to find!
