Has nothing to do with racism. If they were painted in Germany, I would have said germans....if they were painted in Italy, I would have said italians....if they were painted in the US I would have said Americans....so on and so on.
I say Chinese because they ARE painted by chinese people....are they not?

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

If it comes imperfect, return it for another one until you are satisfy.
Thats what i do to all my statues. BTW i had two IM mark 3 life size bust and it is perfect.

hot toys products are also painted by the "freaken chinese people". yet funnily enough, their paint apps are consistently top notch. as is the case with enterbay. far superior to anyone else. it all boils down to quality control. something sideshow has obviously failed at.

I agree 100%. I am making a decision not to get this Sideshow product not because I can't afford it. But because all of them I have seen so far have had paint jobs that are lacking the care and quality that someone who cares would produce better results.

Averone, you do need to learn some humility here and stop this belittling of people you believe are beneath you who have there own opinions about this piece. You post up pictures in an open forum, expect criticism and scrutiny. Your photo's are cropped and made smaller which hides flaws. That is fine. Others here have taken closup pictures and the flaws in the paint are very evident. Any run of the mill body-shop doing a re-paint of a bumper that has gotten into an accident knows how to eliminate orange peel or better yet, paint the darn thing without any orange peel occurring. First of all, you may have lots of money and lots of statue's and collectibles. However it is not my problem that you overlook flaws in your statues. I can overlook many flaws but paint work is not one of them. A ding here and there from packing, rough surfaces in area's under arms and rubbed off paint due to packing are things I can overlook and fix. A crummy orange peel filled paint job is something that needs to be re-painted and unacceptable if I was in control of Quality Control at the IM factory in China. UNless things change at that factory and those artisan's become better at paint application, then I forsee lots of paint issue's and more people trying to make excuses for Sideshow saying the piece needs to be $5000 for the paint to be perfect..lol.. That is simply not true.. Hire better artisans as the Hot Toys company has and you have a better product for the same price.

Is it wrong for me to point out that I know Sideshow can hire better Chinese workers than the ones they have hired to paint this 1:2 IM? All the evidence from photo's that all of us can see show not only flaws in the paint, but flaws with the whole process they are using to paint them. All I hear are excuses being made as to why the paint is not up to par. Furthermore I have a few of you telling me to quit posting here. I truly was interested in getting this and I may still get it if I can see a higher quality standard occurring for future ones. That is if Sideshow takes my and others advice and train their employees' on how not to produce orange peel when painting. I know sideshow has and can hire competent workers as we have seen many great lines of collectibles. I have on order the Jabba the Hut, and the Chernobog. Both have very good looking paint applications so far with the first pictures we've seen. I purchased the Aliens Queen Diorama and that was an awesome "orange peel" free paint job. I know this piece is larger and I know flaws will exist. However I cannot overlook one big giant flaw as orange peel in a piece like this. I'm hoping things get better and yes down the road I may get it. I will be following this thread closely and scrutinizing many more photo's. My last post was simply stating I will not be getting this as I had planned right away. That is all..

A "problem" is when you lose your car keys or forget to pay a bill.

You are simply a nuisance. You're long drawn out attempts at persuasion are lost on me. All you do is rehash what you say over and over again as if we didn't notice the initial 32 attempts. It's one thing to offer an opinion (encouraged) it's another thing when you become a broken record.

Don't like the quality? Easy, don't buy it. You've already stated as much. Go preach elsewhere.
