pure awesomeness...

:lol

I do really like it, especially at the price tag you paid. I'm just trying to figure out what makes the paint app. on this piece and the 1:1 bust so much more difficult to execute than that on the 1:4 comiquettes?

I don't know if he's a member here (although I think he is,) but I just saw "Titanchuck's" inhand pics over at SF and those REALLY blew me away. A VERY classy set-up too.

I know Binny saw them! :rock

Some type of fiberglass for some of it, maybe...

I think the surface area and materials have a lot to do with the paint applications looking different. Sorry guys, but I've seen a few Iron Man comiquettes, both the red/gold and stealth version, that had questionable paint. It seems like the 1:1 bust has left a bad tast in some of your mouths, but I hate to be the one to break it to you.... most of the modern IM comiquettes aren't close to as perfect as you would have everyone believe, I guarantee it.

Btw, I think he has 1 more for that price.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I've yet to see a perfect paint app. on ANY statue. Some come close, but none quite achieve it. That's not saying they don't look great though.

There are going to be a lot more flaws that you can pick out on a big piece like this and because there are so many large flat/smooth surfaces, they're more likely to show up.
I''ve owned a few different red/gold IM comiquettes and the paint was never 100% perfect on any of them. Heck, you could look under the edges of the armor and see completely unpainted areas. There were also orange peel looking areas on them, too, especially on the back/shoulders. Look, on any piece you'll find flaws... double the size of the statue and they'll become even more obvious.

I wouldn't say that my IM or CIM are perfect but you would have to comb with a magnifying glass to be able to find anything, so I consider them MINT. If ppl are picky about things they cannot see with naked eyes then that is something no collector can help.

the more photos i see the less i like the paint job.it looks like a giant hot toys or something like that.mayve if cinemaquette makes on..

That's because it's modern... Just want everyone is asking for different scales of modern :lol

no,i like the modern armor,if you mean this.but this is not a sideshow job.that's what i think.

U mean it's not Sideshow's best job because this is a Sideshow job. I hear what you saying BTW.

Not that it's NOT sideshow job. :lol
