My waitlist just converted through SS on this piece. Obviously the in hand pictures look amazing but this is a large financial commitment and possibly a new can of worms and money if I pull the trigger on future LSF. I've got till the 19th to respond. Can I get some honest feedback from those that own this piece? now that you've had it awhile do you still come home smiling when you see this sexy beast of an ironman in your display?

I'd get it.

It's honestly one of my favorite pieces which I don't ever see leaving my collection. He has awesome presance in a room.

The open ES thing is the only downer to this piece. However since they no longer make or carry it, it's justifiable at its 2k price tag.

Thanks for the response and advice man. I know exactly how you feel about open ES so if you took the plunge its gotta be bad a$$. I love my 1/4 scale maquette and paid close to a g for it. Never felt buyers remorse about that piece once. So comparatively speaking that's been my logic swaying me towards buy. Wanted to hear some additional feedback especially since its been out for so long now.

Wow! Congrats on conversion Tav! I thought Sideshow had completely sold out of these...

Anyhow, until SSC release the MKVII LSF the MKIII will always be my favourite piece. Biased as I maybe due to being a massive Iron Man fan, I think it's just a fantastic piece and is like having your very own movie Iron Man in your own front room! :rock

Here is mine Tav

Thanks for the pics RB. It really does look like an amazing piece. I guess its a go then. If you guys still love it that much it must be a good by. Looks like another Bowen Sale Thread is inevitable

Same here! But there is one here for local pick up for cheaper then retail so im prob gonna go with that

I am considering it. my main issue is space atm and I already have a 1:2 endo sat chilling in his box as I have no display place for him atm and iron man would be the same for now :cuckoo: lol

I've had this pretty much since it first came out, and I still love seeing it every time I walk into my display room. It's a pretty awesome piece, so I don't think you can go wrong with it. As for the Mark VII, well, they would look pretty awesome displayed together.

Yeah that would be silly unless you have future plans for a bigger setup. You can't buy something that beautiful and $$$$ and let him sit in the box. Iron mans gotta strut. I haven't pulled the trigger yet as I'm contemplating what to sell to help make up for some of the cost but I'm going to pull the trigger. I trust Roberto and Atheris's assessment on how awesome this piece is in the collection. Also this is probably my favorite armor as well....

I'm a massive Iron Man fan Tav so my view maybe biased but i dont think you'll find too many collectors who'd have one bad thing to say about this piece...it's simply breathtaking!

Like with most pieces that look amazing in the pictures, this is one of those pieces that look so much more better in person and i can remember the first time i set eyes on him (as i purchased mine from a fellow freak last year) I remember being taken into the guys front room where he had the statue out on display for me to check and i was just...:thud::thud: It was the first time i had ever seen a Legendary Scale Figure in real life and i can say that since then i've been hooked on the LSF line! Picked up the Wolverine LSF earlier this year plus....

...in about 3 weeks time i will be recieving my second MKIII LSF but this time it will have been customised in chrome to achieve the MKII armour and includes all the small details like the rivets that the MKII armour had aswell!! Will post some pics in my display thread as soon as it arrives pal! :yess:

Awesome man! Can't wait to see that custom. I think I may have seen it in another members thread. Is is the chrome one that Titan chuck has? If so that thing is awesome! I've gone back to his thread just to peak at that ironman several times. I also PO the wolverine LSF. That's by far my favorite marvel character so even with the high price tag I had to have it. I appreciate your in depth discussion and views on this sculpt. I'm going to do it, sadly it will mean a sale thread at SM for some of my rarer bowen pieces but its worth it to me to have this giant added to my collection!

Yep, i think its the same one as Chuck has over on the Statue Forum! :yess: Its gonna be awesome! Been holding out for that piece for so long but the guy who is customising it for me hasnt been too happy with the final result of the chroming so its constantly going under QC issues but at last its finally shipping this week! :impatient::yess:

I do have a question about this piece. I have seen it a few different shades of Red in pictures. I understand that is due to lighting but in person is it more the red of all the other suits or the darker Red like in this pic

Flex payment initiated. Did two equal payments so this should be arriving mid October! Gives me some time to make up the funds with other sales. Thanks again for your input guys. It helped me make my decision

I'll chime in and echo what pretty much everyone else has said which is that this is an awesome piece. I think the only way I would part with mine is if I get a 1:1 Mark III statue built which is something I have considered doing.

Oh he'll strut..
