Aww yer killin me MarfMaster! Congrats on getting Campbell. As far as sealing the signature, you can't without ruining you base and potentially the autograph. Leave it exactly how it is. If you ever hae to pack the PF up, wrap the base in tissue paper. That'll protect it during shipping/ storage.

Hmmmm...You think a couple of light coats of flat clear could damage the signature and base? I wouldn't think it would but then again I've never done it to my statues. :dunno

Ohh I would go crazy in the merchandise sale. My wallet would burst into flames.

:lol

My girl would get upset and burst into flames if I went crazy in the merchansie section! :lol

Thanks Jay! It was a pretty special moment for me, that's for sure :)

I hope you're right DS, because I put two coats of Dulcote on it the following day! It dried without any problems, so here's hoping  The pictures I posted of the base are actually post-Dulcote application.

Not trying to ask a stupid question, but Billy used a permanent marker...unless you put in the sunlight, wouldn't it have been fine without anything additional?

Not a stupid question, I was wondering the same thing :lol I wasn't sure if, considering the surface, the marker was immune to potential scratches, etc. so I just decided to play it safe and add the Dulcote.

I think you're good to go. I really don't see how a Dulcote would harm the base or the signature, but I guess anything is possible.

I just hope your base and autograph will be okay. :D

Not having much look tracking down items from the D23 event. Might need a bit more time and patience. Figure there would have to be leftovers somewhere.

I recently bought the deluxe hardcover of the original comic.
...was pretty disappointed actually.

The movie is far better.

Does anyone think there would be merchandise from the anniversary event at Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida? I'm going to Orlando for a conference in July and thinking of going to the park for the day, mainly to shop for merchandise like IJ stuff. Not sure if it would be worth it though. Any thoughts?

I read the comic before the movie. I liked the comic very much but the movie made me a huge fan.

Has anyone else read the new Rocketeer Adventures from IDW?

I would think that you'd be able to find at least a couple of Rocketeer items. :dunno

Where can I pick that up DS, I love that cover art :rock

I got mine through My Comic Shop.com, just do a search of Rocketeer Adventures, but you should be able to pick it up at any comic shop! :rock

It has three stories in it with some really cool art and a couple of pin-up pieces! :yess: :rock

I'll have to see if Cornerstore Comics has it when I go pick up my HT Thor this week. Thanks for the heads up!

And I'd just like to point out that if you hadn't posted the info on that D23 Rocketeer screening in this thread, I would have never had the wonderful experience that I did...so MAJOR thanks for that :1-1:

That would be a no. The anniversary event is a D23 production as is the merchandise. They don't sell d23 exclusive pins at the theme parks. Your best bet might be the D23 Store at the D23 EXPO in Anaheim this August.

I hit my local Disney Store to see if they had any unique Rocketeer items but no such luck.

I did get my 12" Medicom Rocketeer figure -he's f'n sweet! I have the Bronze Minibust coming in the mail today -so I'm stoked about that.

:monkey2 Thanks for the info.! Anaheim will be out of reach for me, but it does sound like a fun event.

I've heard about the Expo in Anaheim as well. Not going, but it would be a great chance to score some unique collectibles.
