Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I think it will but obviously personal preference comes into play.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

:lol Sorry.

Just really hope someone makes posable Hobbit figures. I can't be the only one that feels that way.

While you all rejoice over your polystone, I'll be pouting in the corner waiting...

Well, you can always buy the figures from The Bridge Direct.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yea, I'll have to disagree with that.

Meaning you won't buy figures if they're made by Sideshow? The GI Jow stuff they've been doing lately is awesome. I'd love to see how much they could step up Middle Earth from what they did for LOTR.

WTF?

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

It's supposed to be their SDCC exclusive.

The Bridge Direct's limited edition 6" scale figure of Bilbo Baggins™ will present the title character from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in his "invisible" state while wearing the Ring, which can be seen on his hand. Available only at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, this intricately detailed transparent figure will be presented in a numbered collector's edition box.

First look at a figure from The Hobbit and it's made of crummy clear plastic. :slap

Well I may have jumped the gun a little bit with my remark. Gandalf, Frodo, and Sam were pretty good at the time. The other 4 though, with how they stack up now and how they stopped the line, I couldn't trust that they wouldn't do the same. I remember seeing the first images of Aragorn, and being so psyched for the line. What they released was a big let down. I don't own any of the Joe line but even with those it seems like the prototype head sculpt and the final head sculpt looks like they have some loss of quality.

With the Joe line, they can be off a bit and it doesn't really matter, but when they're going for sculpts of actors, you have to be alittle more on the money.

Trouble with HT doing them, you'll get a couple and that's it. SS you'd have a better (though slightly) chance of getting them all, but it would take a decade to do it.

To bad they couldn't do them in sets of two or three at a time.

I was thinking about how much better the clothing has gotten. The paint is still pretty bad from SSC.

I still don't get that figure. Looks like a ninja or something.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

If it says CC exclusive, thats the only reason people feel the need to buy it. :lol
