MMA is awesome until it gets into gay ass wrestling mode 69'n each other for all 3 rounds zzzzzzzzz

I used to feel that way, but in the last few years the ground game in an MMA match can be, and often is, more exciting than the stand up.

Its only when you got 2 douche bags who really know nothing on the ground its starts to blow, but the refs these days are good about standing them up., usually.

Watch some DREAM and you will really see what I mean.

I'm a huge MMA fan but also a fan of all pugilistic sports, the next big UFC event is the 11th & 14th Dec

As Rocky Balboa said ......"What's so crazy about standing toe to toe with someone saying "I am"? :D

i think it'll be a good fight and i'm interested in seeing how de la hoya deals with pac's fast hands, etc. but i do think oscar has a shot.

i'll watch it the next weekend on hbo for free...toughest part is not finding out what happened for that entire week after the fight.

I remember watching Manny's last fight in a room filled half with Filipino's and the other half with Mexicans. It was awesome. :lol

(doing it again next week) :rock

I still, honestly, don't know why this fight is happening. There is a HUGE weight difference between the two. I think that Pacman is the better boxer, but don't know if the weight and size issue will be too much for him. I personally hope oscar gets his face beat in

Yes thats what everyone feels about mma when they first start to watch mma. Those who says the ground game is "gay" and boring obviously dont know what mma is all about,a friend of mine trains BJJ and ive been sparring with him before his tournaments just to help him out and i must say,MMA is alot more than newbies think,BJJ is very interesting and fun getting in those positions and see an opening and go for the arm, leg, neck or whatever...

Josh Koscheck on the other hand,WAS a boring fighter to watch during his ultimate fighter days, and the year after,he was all about wrestling, didnt have a clue about BJJ or Striking, all that has improved the last 2 years though.

What pisses me off many times is the growd boooing the 2 fighters in the octagon because they fight smart and slow on the ground, these fans dont know ^^^^ about mma, they just want to see knockouts and nonstop action, they have the wrong idea about the whole thing.

People go to the UFC to see MORE than just fighting. They don't care if people fight smart to win the fight, if they want to see smart fighting, they would watch Boxing. They go to the UFC to see knockout and people ACTUALLY fighting.

And honestly, if I went to an event and they were just lying on eachother, I would boo the crap out of them too. The UFC only wants to hire people that put on exciting fights and fights that people will pay to see. If a fighter doesn't do that, then they shouldn't be fighting.

and how do you think the fighters feel about that?I wouldnt run into a guys guard and risking me getting submitted or going inside a knockout artist just to try to knock him out and risk that im getting knocket out myself.

They try their best to win a fight, thats my point, and fans sometimes doesnt appreciate what the fighters go through.

Anderson Silva vs Cote last match i agree for once,Silva was just dancing around fooling around when we all know he knocks out every fighter within 1 round.

Yea, I know it sucks for the fighter is they get booed or people don't think it's a good fight, but you gotta go with it.

Pacman for the win Round 8 TKO!

Delahoya lost...he's clearly past his due date, but he's still the man imo. Pac did a fine job, but the guy is a kid compared to Hoya. Sad to see it end this way, hoya basically got embarrassed, but with the money he made from the fight and promotion, I think he's walking away with a smile on his face.

OH SNAP !!!!

Knew pacman would beat him. Going to download the fight tomorrow and watch. Any of the undercards any good?

I think the way it ended is what DelaHoya needed. Oscar just didn't know when to quit when it came to his "comeback". Didn't he try to sing and release an album? That didn't last long. The man was great but his time was long over. Oscar the Golden Boy = Oscar the Golden Years

Well, just watched the fight and Oscar sure got his world knocked around. Utter slaughter that was, and I enjoyed every second of it. De La Hoya is so overrated, I was glad he got beat down. Oscar hasn't beat anybody good in about 10 years, hopefully he finially hangs up his gloves.

NOW, I want to see PacMan vs Mayweather. Hopefuly PacMan can beat the smile off Mayweather's stupid face.

cant wait to watch this slaughter on HBO this weekend....
... guys just dont know when to bow out and stay out anymore.... we have RJ Jr and now Delahoya still ttrying to fight past their time and managing to do nothing more than taint the legacy they built in their prime ...
