Hi people, I'm packing all of your stuffs, and will send it today, on afternoon.
Thank you!

Ok, lets review:
thought this would be an easy build. Black gear, paint head, apply skull, shazam!

BUT
2 different head sculpts
5 different vests used for parts
black BDU
2 pair of boots, Loading & Hot Toys Oakley
2 sets of hands
1 hot toys body
1 stand
belts, holsters, TON of weapons, & weapons fir parts.

NOW
4 different weapons on the way to make the Monster Magnum

Is this build ever gonna end?

I wanted to be as complete as possible. Still working on the mini crossbow, but damn,

Elvis, 400 isn't to far off for me either. I thought it would be like 100, aside from the sculpt

20 here, 30 there, oooh

Ok, the image from Amnur's link is what I used for the Monster Magnum (thanks Amnur). I plan on doing a little repainting then posting images & a walk through of parts needed. Otherwise it's done. VERY happy with the results, down to the number of holes in the end piece of the barrel (seriously, I counted)

Yeah, heard that before

Update, vest has been modded again, 95% screen accurate, added the molded 2 clip holder, also now accurate, bag added to small of back (he wasn't pulling the grenades from out of his...) Loading Toys boots replaced with Hot Toys oakley style, also, the mag on his L leg has been replaced with an accurate M4 not M16 (which is what I had)

Elvis, how the hell did these builds get this out of control? I mean, damn, Ray is gonna get/need an entire section of a display stand all to himself. Jigsaw may have to get bumped to another section. Along with the planned LBJ I'm gonna work on as soon as I get other pieces done

Joey, it scares me that you are having such a challenge with this with as experienced as you are.:lol I am in serious ****! I might be over my head.:lol

Hey, it's kinda like jumping out of an airplane with this build. I tend to start a project & really run with it (wait till you see the Dr House when I get around to it)

My niece (who also paints & very well I may add & happens to be completing a L from Death Note as well as a David from Lost Boys) has been laughing at me with this one. It's gone from simple black pants & shirt to damn, this cat needs his own room in the house now!!!

The one thing with this hobby is it's always a challenge. Most stuff is in need of modding for us custom builders to use & make look accurate not just sorta close. That's why I admire the Hot Toys & Sideshow film stuff.

Morb, I can't wait to see yours when it's done.

Thanks dude. I am going to do my best. I'm not expecting it to beat yours or Elvis' but I'm gonna try to be up there with you guys. I'm gonna be so picky with this guy.:lol

Morb, yours is gonna rock. I just think every is gonna be unique & beautiful. Elvis & Ray have done some impressive work, I really think the sharing of ideas here has helped this build to be a show stopper

Images of the magnum tonight

I really wish I was a creative as you guys, with making figures, heads, guns, vests (and yes Elvis1976, I am definitely still in for the vest if you can make me one) and all. I really wanted to get as movie accurate as possible on this figure but I just don't see it happening. Also I super nervous about painting Amnur's head because I am not that good. I guess you tell by reading this that I have no self-confidence, just another this I have to work on.

Turd, Oh damn, what a name, love it

To hell with confidence, just go ahead & do it. A friend told me "do what you fear the most" I like that

Painting can be intimidating, but approach any piece not as a whole, but break it down to colors only & you'll see how fun it can be. It's rewarding seeing a piece come to life.

Creativity just comes down to perspective. I don't, & I'm sure elvis & Ray are the same way, look at 1/6 parts the usual way. When I look at stuff I see what I can use, or what it can become with modding. That's how the Monster Magnum came together. It's made from a magnum, a WWII flare gun, a silencer & scope as well as under barrel light. Just break things down.

The vest was the same thing. I wanted a vest with cut in shoulders & a fairy tight collar. And bingo, I came across the Enterbay Jack Bauer. Perfect. Shoulder pads. I started looking at knee pads & vests parts, groin protectors etc.

Everyone is creative, it just needs to be nurtured. You don't pick up a guitar & start playing. Turd, you've already got the the most vital components: interest & enthusiasm already, now run with it. Enjoy

Any more pix to share folks?

Thank you so much kf, that actually made me feel better. As for the pics I am not really computer savvy but as soon as I figure it out, how to post pics I mean and when I am a bit more comfortable with my work I'll be sure to post some pics. If the Punisher comes out the way I plan it to, I will definitely post pics.

Thanks

Chris

Kf is right, you gotta take hold of the situation. I don't know what I'm doing either but you just gotta jump in.

"Fear causes hesitation and hesitaition causes mistakes."-Point Break :rock :rock

Just know, Turd, :)lol) that alot of us don't know what we're doing, I don't and I'm still looking forward to doing it. If you or me or anyone has any problem or is stuck just come up here and post and ask for advice. We all got eachother's back on here and will help one another. I think everyone will have something to contribute when their's is done.

They will all be great in their own way.:D

Chris n(that's a lot better than Turd)

No problem, always try to be helpful. I don't like when people offer negative responses on forums. It's so much better to be positive, cuz I think there are a whole lot more good things in life.

Hey when it comes to computers my friends call me the last existing caveman, I don't like them much.

I'm planning on doing a painting tutorial soon, hopefully it will help a few folks. I don't want to make it redundant, but I also want to make it as concise as possible.

Would love to see images. Post some anyway. It's good to get feedback. I use my niece to critique my work. She paints as well & gives me an impartial assessment. If it sucks, she'll tell me it does & why. That's what I want is the why.

Take your time with th Punisher build. It really has taken on a real mystique here.

Morbach is so right! Any doubt, ask, someone will help out.

Cheers
Joey (knucklefunger)
