Morbach, I hear ya.

In my collection Ray sticks out like elephant ears! I put aside all my other pieces to get this done, & guess what? Still more to do. Finishing up work for others, & doing this when time allows.

Morbach, painting isn't so bad. It's a lot of fun watching a piece come alive.

With Jigsaw beside him, these are real museum pieces. I'm glad it's not a mass produced piece. Each one is a beautiful one off.

I've tried painting dude and I found out my calling is doing bases. I'm pretty good at doing bases and idea's for bases. I still plan on painting from time to time but it gets so discouraging when you aren't any good. I know you gotta start somewhere right? I'm not giving up on it I'm just taking a back seat to it for now.

And yeah I hear ya. Mine is going to take forever cause I'm gonna get a little here and there while getting stuff for other figures in between that way I don't just work on his stuff cause even if I got all his stuff it'd still take forever to do. So he's going to be done over time. I think this is going to look so awesome. I know all the money and hard work will pay off. Shame I didn't get Jigsaw but oh well.

Yeah but you've been painting for years and years so even if you shake you know what you're doing. You got your technique down already. I still am a major beginner. I'd like to try again though. Seein you guys gives me a kick in the butt to do it.

Basically this is the starter kit.
I think i have spent like 350$ on this one for now.

elvis, did you have to create that section around the neck? because I spent the better half of last nite looking for a vest with that attachment to no avail.

In fact yes i made it using some bits here and there.
I know the GIGN vest has a pretty good neck but that's just about it.

OH boy! do I have my work cut out for me. no wonder I couldnt find it. I found a really good one at war-toys. it was pretty close. will need some modding as well. already bought the M4 just havent gotten it yet. got the blk sweater from the courier fig. but it hasnt arrived.

True, I've been painting since I could hold a brush, that & playing the drums, but this time last year I was in a wheelchair, had to re-learn how to walk, lucky to have finger articulation.

Now I paint as much as I can until the tremors begin, then gotta walk away for a while. I love painting so much more now. I really appreciate being able to do it. Also stumbled on some techniques that make them look a little more real.

Hope to apply this to your Ray.

Wow you sound well organised. I wish i could do that but honestly i needed to buy everything alltogether

I am a very organized person. Too organized. I wish I could order it all together but Ive got several other customs going on all at the same time.
