i hate getting asked for my ID every time i buy a rated M game. I am 27, paying with plastic, and am always there during my noon lunch hour. you'd think they would learn who I am by now.
This video is hilarious, but the truth is that Gamestop is a very shady business. Most, if not all of their stores, remove new games from shrink-wraps, allow the employees to take home the games on loan, and then display the cases on shelf where people touch them with their grimey hands. They'll then sell back the same "new" games to unsuspecting customers, at full price. It's a disgusting practice, and they're the only corporation that does this. Gamestop has even been known to open up PC games and remove multiplayer voucher codes, if the codes were provided by competitors.
Since 2007, I've never bought anything from Gamestop. I do my business with Best Buy and Amazon.
I miss Funcoland...
I have never had Best Buy give me a game that didnt have original seals. I have never got a "brand new game" from game stop in a original sealed package.Protip: best Buy lets their employees borrow games as well.

Do you not PO games from them Mark? I've never not gotten a game from them that wasn't still brand new. Heck last night I picked up AC Rev, Halo CE, and they even had a Hardened Edition of MW3 (which I bought) and all of them were in the original packaging.
I rarely PO games. I did PO 5 from Best Buy but only because they were giving me $100 credit if I did so.Do you not PO games from them Mark? I can vouch that when I worked at EB Games we had a shrink wrap machine. We would take the displayed copies of the games (gutted cases) re-fill them back up, shrink wrap them, and sell them as new. These were the games as employees we were allowed to take home to borrow.
Im sorry that is absolute horse crap if i buy a game i better be the first to play it period.
