YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

The Real Thing is one of my all time favorite albums. I saw Faith No More open for Metallica in their ...And Justice for All tour, they were excellent.

Luis

was that the tour with guns and roses as well? i heard that was quite outstanding, although GnR weren't as good as FnM and Metallica.

I saw this last week and have been saying for the last 4 or so years that these guys need to get back together so looks like i'm getting my wish and I will also go on to note that I would list their live show in my top 3 all time shows i have attended and i've been to probably about 300-400 shows so if they come to your town GO and check them out!!!

No, that was FNM and Metallica alone. It was during the days when Metallica's set included a Lady Justice being built through out the duration of their show and then at the end when they performed ...And Justice for All, Lady Justice would blow up in pieces.

It was in Irvine Meadows in Southern California.

Love Angel Dust.....best Faith No More album. I used to see Mr. Bungle on a weekly basis - this was before Patton joined FNM - they used to play with Primus all the time. Those were some great shows. San Francisco in the late 80's was funk/punk central.

I remember one show Patton came out with a dildo strapped to his forhead. All the stuff that Patton has done since FNM is great - into that stuff more i like experimental music - especially Fantomas.

Being on the west coast, did you get to see the Melvins / Fantomas big band show? I have the CD (and I hear there is a DVD out now) and it is amazing, would've loved to go to that one. :monkey2

Any chance you can get Sideshow to carry the Ipecac vinyl figures? :monkey3

THIS is awesome news!!!!
I seen FNM 3 different times....once on the Angel Dust tour when i was 17 ;) in Newcastle,Aus
then the 2nd time when The king for a day, fool for a lifetime tour was on in Sydney-best LIVE concert EVER!!!
and then the 3rd and final time i seen them again in Newcastle when they toured on their last album...and a few weeks after that, they disbanded :(
Love FNM...grew up with them thru high school to young adult, definately had an influence on my life ;)

I still miss Jim Martin...

Me too! Faith No More was one of my favorite bands in high school and college. I never got to see them in concert back then. I always wanted to see them, but didn't. It just won't be the same without Jim Martin there. Just like the "new" Guns 'N Roses. To me it's really NOT Guns 'N Roses without Duff McKagan on bass, Slash on guitars, and Matt Sorum on drums. I've head the new "G 'N R" song....and it's okay.

I'll give Faith No More a try. They're worth it to me. But...I'll still really miss Jim Martin and his frantic, but awesome style of playing guitar. :D

This is awesome...loved these guys back in the day and still rock to them. Was listening to Jizzlobber earlier today

No i didn't get to go to that show but had a couple of friends that went and the set up sounded really cool - the way that members of each band would rotate in and out. I have the cd also and i hope that the news about the dvd is true cause i really want to see it.

I've never been a Melvins fan but this particular show was pretty cool.
