I thought this was a weird film.

I didn't like it at all; It just wasn't for me.

Guillermo Del Toro is a cool guy in some ways, but he's also a little creepy/pervy too. This movie was beautiful to look at but stuff like her talking about how little Mr. Black Lagoon Jr popped out from the crotch scales was... kinda unsettling. It seemed to make it more about bestiality and less about pure love. It was also weird how she was set up as this super-horny woman at the start - instead of an unnoticed someone who was simply lost in the sweeping romance of old movies (which they had some of.)
