Re: Just scored a sith anakin

considering clone wars anikan is 80 i think i did good and the sith version is the best one.

Re: Just scored a sith anakin

I only paid 20 dollars more for a better figure so i dont care . Yes some people may have them on here cheaper but we live in a world of untrusting people and just felt more comfortable going threw a site I trusted. To the one person that congratulated me thank you seems that all people do on this site is bash one another. There is no need to be rude we all love collectibles

Re: Just scored a sith anakin

Its more of just a helpful suggestion to look a bit harder for deals, or at least be aware of current values.

$100 for an opened figure that regularly sells for $60 MISB is paying too much.

Re: Just scored a sith anakin

I've had one for sale, mint and sealed in shipper for 8O shipped for the longest time. If I would have seen a wtb thread from you, I would've pmd you about it. But I guess we are not trustworthy enough for you in this forum.

There's paypal buyer protection, you know. ;)

Re: Just scored a sith anakin

you should be looking for deals. none of these old SW figures usually sell for more than retail. i've had mine in the FS section for $65. it's still there. just buried in the mix. plus i fixed the loose arm and sleeve already. if i had known you were looking i'd have offered him to you.

that said, it's not the end of the world. i've paid top dollar for used figures before only to see a better deal a few months later. it happens.

Congratulations. Now that's two.

The search function is your friend. There's already a thread dealing with the Anakin Sith and if you had placed your exciting find in that location it's quite possible that others (who have owned the product for awhile now) wouldn't have been quite so harsh or rude-- They just find the necessity or creating a thread for every newly bought "old" figure somewhat pointless and tiresome.

And believe it or not, they are attempting to be helpful. $100 for a non-sealed complete Sith Anakin is way above market value. Stay a little longer-- Check out the threads that are filled with crucial info for any new collector and you'll be able to acquire two or three SW SSC 1/6 items for what you are currently willing to pay for one.

And thread Rated:Noob Failure.

OR he would have been hassled for being a necroposter. This forum needs an attitude adjustment.

Indeed, congratulations on getting a great figure! I hope you enjoy him!

Necroposting would be someone bumping with the basic "nice fig"... If members used the search function (as I and MF have done recently to bump long forgotten picture threads of almost forgotten releases) when they discovered an item that's long been released or wanted to share some new pics then that'd be great. Members should share their excitement in the pre-existing threads... it just means merging otherwise :1-1: (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Everyone here is a collector-- and it's a community of collectors-- Sometimes there's just an immersion process into how thing are set up (the ability to search and find info that's readily available).

I agree with you, DarthNeil. I also think some of the elder members of this forum could be a little nicer to the newbies when pointing them in the right direction.

And there is nothing wrong with a good merge. :1-1:

Thank you for the kind words. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like you in it

So..this original thread was almost 4 years old. With so many changes in technology, how do you think this figure holds up today?

Is the SS or Medicom version the better of the Anakin sculpts?

I own both and initially thought the Medicom, but looking back now, I would say the SS.

Just curious..flashback reviews are always fun:)

Personally, I like the SS more, though I replaced the sculpt with Darren's excellent re-work.

My original repaint of the original head Vs. my improved paint-up of Darrren's work.

Out of curiousity, what does a repaint like this go for?

I love my SS but would love to have something that close to perfection.
