THE THING EX 750

I think in the future rather than making detachable body parts the exclusive, sideshow should just change the figure permanently. For example with the thing make the open mouth head the exclusive (just one head no removable body parts), for Captain America make the exclusive the WWII version all in one piece rather than using detachable body parts. I think it makes the piece more "exclusive" if it comes that way and cannot be altered.

750 is a bit high, but not that bad at all considering that Thing works as a
stand-alone piece against Wolverine or Hulk, or other opponents, PLUS he's
a member of the F4 and he'd be needed to complete the set if (when?)
Sideshow makes the rest of the group.

I'd get him sooner rather than later :chew- and I did!

750. That's a lot. Although I was hoping for a much much lower ES, I had accepted a 650ish number which I guessed it would eventually be. And now this: 750. Wow. That's an extra $32,500 in the SSC pocket. Still a nice figure.

Only 60 left of the Exclusive Thing in under 24 hours, and will likely sell out today.

A one-day sellout makes it seem like a pretty solid ES to me.
(although lower is always better for retaining value)

They should have shut the door at 650 and done away w/ the low quantity alert.. However I would not have been surprised if the ES was higher than 750, all these boneheads late jumping into the Marvel game pump up the ES.. Is it due to the love for the peices?.. Or the lust that the 1k price tag the older peices bring in..

The days of Uber small ES and Marvel are over..

I've been calling for a comic version of THING for a long time, regardless of the ES it was a sure thing for me..

And the Sauron ES was 9500, please get to know your peices better.

Yea its lower the the Cap EX...but way higher then the Hulk EX which its a companion peice for...

Cap is far more popular than thing.

I would hate if the exclusive was a different version - for Cap it would have meant having to decide which one to get or buying both. SSC could perhaps make more money, since many people would get both - but it's more collector friendly to have the parts be switchable.

Dumbest suggestion I've ever heard, EVER!!!

Having both display options is what tempts people to get the exclusive version instead of saving money on a regular edition. That and the general lower ES that helps the resale value. I have my Cap PF with his regular shied, but with the exclusive WWII helmelt.
