Hmm, those pics make it seem the same as the first version, but with better paint.

Put the finishing touches on the cotton treatment. Most notably, I finished stuffing the pants @ the lateral hips just below the belt:

I did this by making a small slit underneath the shirt where it comes down over the hips. That way you cant see it when the shirt is in its normal position. I was going to glue the slit together at first but I see no reason to now, as it's invisible and It is nice to no I can get under there again if I need to.

It's the same head. The nicer paint just really brings out the sculpt.

I cannot figure out why the Medi Dark Knight didn't have that nice paint...

Yep, different eyes, different ears, different neck.

and the mouth has some slight detail that signifies it more as Bale than the chubby look in the first comparison photo.

I think that if it were on a taller body and stuffed like we've done with the Takara along wit a thinner cape, this figure would be able to compete with the rest

and I just love how perfect the profile is

It's the height that I just can't handle! Sure, the puny chest can be stuffed, and I can forgive the way medicom have constructed the main body of the suit out of two different materials... but that half inch height difference

I even tried standing him on tippy toes inside his boots to get some extra height - which is ok so long as the cape covers the lower legs, 'cause having the top of the boots around his shins looks silly.

In the end I had to shell out for OC. Had I got a Takara first up I would've been happy with making the necessary mods, but height... why medicom? Whyyyyyyyyyy?

I literally have zero interest in getting the Hot Toys OC now.

I don't like using the velvet cape on my DXO2 so I jimmy rigged it to work on the Takara.

This has turned out very nice. Might think about doing the same with mine. Although I display him "only" as-first-night-out Bruce I really dont like the way it looks. THis has really improved your figure!
I always thought Id swith the body to a HT. But looks as this isnt needed.

Stuffing the pants required a lot of cotton for the very reason you give. The hip joint had to be pretty much filled. This isn't hurting the figure though. It might be hindering articulation a bit, but he looks so amazing in the stoic pose that I don't care.

The height is in scale to majority of Asian males We're mostly 5' to 5'8, but normally at 5'6. I'm 5'4 5'9 above is a bit uncommon. This works for their anime line, which is understandably Japanese characters, but unfortunately doesn't work well with Western-based characters. I think they're just too lazy to create appropriate bodies and opt to use what they've been using in their anime line.
