anyone else incredibly excited about the remake of the "V" series from back in the 80's? I know I will be watching every episode. I watched the old shows (The original movie, The Final Battle, and the TV series) with my folks and loved this show, watched repeats on Beta till the tracking wore out, so it holds a special place for me. And the previews of the new series look good so far.

I got the chance to talk to Morena Baccarin about this. She seemed very enthusiastic about the project, as she had been working on it for quite some time. This is the first update I've heard in a while. I'll be watching for sure.

There is a thread about this somewhere, but it hasn't been active in awhile. I will certainly check this out when it comes on. I'm really surprised ABC is putting the money into this since they seem to love the reality shows so much.

ACtually, when I saw it was on ABC, for some reason it didn't sit well. Hope this isn't censored or toned down for the kiddies that may be watching it as well. I hope it comes on at either 8 or 9 at the earliest so it can be a little less restricted. I want to see lizards eating the friggin' Easter bunny.

I loved the two mini series and TV series from the 80s. Hopefully this new re-incarnation will be good (though I have to admit....the trailer for the new one is not very exciting). Maybe some of the original cast members from the 80s will have cameos. I would love to see Robert Englund for instance.

That reptile baby scared the crap out of me when I was all of 10 or 12. I remember it clearly. Watchign in the living room, my parents let me stay up late to watch the show, and then first the "normal" baby came out, and then proceeded to slither his tongue out. at this point I was very confused, a little scared, and thinking "WTF?", as I don't think I knew much about child birth or anything at that point in time, and then a friggin' green monster comes out next. it really was a little shocking for TV back then. I plan on rewatchign the series before the new series and see how it has held up against time.

Funny, I was thinking quite the opposite with the babies, I thought they were really cool but I might of been slightly older than you so maybe around 7-8 whenever this came out...
