I loved the first season of this. Way they're mucking up this season though I wouldn't be surprised if it was done after this one.

I don't mind the split season, it beats having to wait until the following October for more. I just finished reading The Walking Dead: Compendium One to help ease the wait for Season two and am more hyped for Oct 16th than ever. I'm also curious to see how it goes without Frank Darabont.

Enjoy the final season, this show is going to die. Before the second season even drops we've lost the head writer, the exec producer/director and project organiser, the actors are being mistreated and underpayed, and now they are officially whoring out the show Sopranos style with split seasons.

RIP another great show.

So worried for Hell on Wheels now, it looked like it had so much potential. I wonder if they'll also screw up Breaking Bad.

Kind of reminds me of Americas Funniest Videos. They would show different videos that would absolutely have me rolling. Then they would pick the 3 dumbest ones to win the money. Damn you Mad Men.

My thoughts exactly. Those idiots at AMC would _____ up a free meal.

I also read an article recently that said S2 would focus on Herschel's Farm, but in much more detail than in the books. 13 eps about a plot that only took 5-6 issues? I am concerned that this will slow down the pacing of the show for the whole season and turn viewers away - just like The Killing did for me.

Not sure why the hate for the split season - I certainly prefer it, and it makes sense for the show. Ratings tend to drop for all shows during the November-December holidays, which isn't the fault of the show but could be perceived that way. Advertising likewise could drop off during that period. Skipping the holidays and bringing it back to finish strong in February-March is fine by me, especially since it means there will be less time between the end of season 2 and season 3.

As to the other issues - well, only time will tell at this point. Assuming anything is premature.

The only problem I see is if they intend to split Hell on Wheels also(which is airing alongside TWD). Hell on Wheels looks like it is going to be awesome but splitting a brand new series is risky. Your audience might not return to the second half causing the show to get canned.

Breaking Bad has already been given it's fifth and final season for next year.

So I'd say in the case of Breaking Bad, thankfully the show has been given an ending date....so I think it's too late for AMC to screw that one up.

It sucks about Darabont and obviously AMC is doing a lot of things all wrong but the show still comes from strong material and has a great cast and creative team. No sense putting it in a coffin before you give it a checkup.

We have no idea how things are going to go with this series. Everyone is just reading what they see on the internet and hitting the panic button already.

Maybe the show will tank...maybe it won't. We won't know until the new season gets here.
