All meat is tainted, everybody is infected already remember season two?

All meat is tainted, everybody is infected already remember season two?

The virus is not active in a living human. Not tainted.

A walker has the active virus that kills other living, and when bit that active virus (whether it's the same or a secondary virus is irrelevant for this conversation) is transferred to a living host and kills them, which then activates same said virus in their body...so no, all meat isn't 'tainted'. I would have liked to see how it played out though, as to whether cooking the flesh sufficiently killed the deadly virus or not.

Very solid episode again last night. The Termites got what they deserved - and Rick got some great lines. I was annoyed to see the group split up again, especially after Abraham made such a bit deal out of needing the likes of Michonne and Rick in the previous couple episodes. It really makes no sense to split them up, other than as a weak writing contrivance.

I assume Morgan is going to step out with Daryl, but I wonder where Carol is...taken? Or did she stay behind with Beth on purpose?

Let's see how it plays out first, yes?

While I didn't want to see the group split again, it does open the door to numerous plot options and allows the writers to introduce the viewers to more new characters. From Abraham's perspective, I can see getting on the road to DC ASAP. He has already delayed the trip twice (one to go to Terminus and look how that turned out and the second was last night at the Church). He stayed nad helped but also got Tara, Maggie and Glenn in the process. A solid group to start towards DC with the expectation that Rick and group will only be a few hours/days behind once Carol and Daryl return. From Rick's perspective, I can see not wanting to leave Daryl and Carol behind. They are family to him now and he doesn't know if they are safe or not.

The split also allows the writers to incorporate Morgan into the group dynamics. He might be with Daryl, but I am thinking it might be Beth. Morgan doesn't even know Daryl or Carol, so why would he go with one or both of them? We will find out next episode, but there is at least one time jump backwards in the episode. Next episode is going to show how Beth got to the hospital, events that occur before and/or during the events at Terminus. I figure Daryl and Carol will figure into the episode towards the end. Something happens that splits up Daryl and Carol. Carol gets killed or captured as they rescue Beth? I am guessing Carol gets captured as it looks like the writers are setting it up that Rick and the group go to the hospital on a rescue mission for Beth?? Carol?? both??

I dunno if anyone mentioned it already but the best part was when Garreth tried to threaten Rick in the church and got his fingers blown off mid-sentence.

That was good, but the best part for me was when Rick told Gareth that he made him a promise and Gareth started screaming as Rick brought the red handle machete down on him.

Yeah, Rick's in top form and looks like a crazed mofo, Gareth got exactly what he had coming. This episode went so fast, man I didn't want this to end.

Why does the rest of the forum have to be so damn boring on a monday. I can't help but come in here and spoil this show on myself.

I expected the Terminus group to be a problem most of the season. Can't say I'm disappointed, that just means something bigger is around the corner.
I hope.
Don't want another Sofia-esque season where things are drawn out much too thin.

if things keep moving this fast then it will be amazing. I hope so too. It would be great if they do

:lol :lol :lol

Not me, I'm happy to see it resolved and not dragged out over the entire season. Gareth and his Terminites met a well deserved brutal end. :yess:

I loved the episode and I am loving the season so far, and im not saying that i wish the terminus storyline lasted another 5 episodes or anything like that.

I just thought this episode was going to have them in it a little more longer, I thought the walkers inside the school were going to be a problem as well for example.
the walkers and the tainted meat made it seem like something else was going to happen. I guess Im used to seeing things in the show take longer than they need to. I hope it keeps the pace

Specially if there is no cure or something like that. If Abraham was in such a hurry to save Eugene then hopefully it means he really is important, why else be so worried and leave like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was sometime in the morning when Abraham's group left (well it was daytime at least) but when Daryl showed up it was night. So I thought the only reason the Rick group stayed back was to find Daryl and Carol. That seams like a lot of time just hanging around doing nothing. :impatient:

Gareth getting his fingers shot off mid-sentence was indeed awesome! :rock :lol

Abraham leaving isn't well thought out on his part. His main goal is keeping Eugene safe and getting to Washington. Wouldn't that be easier to accomplish by keeping the whole group together like they originally planned. Why not wait a few days and help them find Daryl before leaving? Eugene could stay at the church during that time keeping him out of harms way.

the only thing I can think of as far as character decisions was that he didn't want to go back into his word, Since they had such a big argument and they almost had a fight he didn't want to seem like a wuss :lol

I guess he made up his mind even if there was no threat. Specially when he knew Glenn and Maggie were going

I can't help but think Rick got the shorter end of the stick with this group split since Rosita and Maggie are going with Abraham. :monkey3

You are right in that a day has gone by since Daryl and Carol disappeared. It is possible that some of Rick's group did some searching for them during the day (maybe Michonne and Sasha?), but we do know that Rick and Tyreese spent a good part of the day burying Bob and the Termites. Impossible to determine how long Rick is going to wait at the church. Maybe give Daryl/Carol a day or two to come back? At what point does he call off the search and go after Abraham's group? The answers to those questions are moot though as now that Daryl has returned, a rescue mission of some sort seems the next likely step.

Last nights episode filled me with a mixture of Glee and shock, mostly due to the brutality. This despite the fact that I knew Rick and his group were drawing them out and would be rounding back to the church, theres just no way they would fall for such an obvious trick/trap. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The fact that a show in it's fifth season can still have that effect on me is Amazing.

I know a lot of people wont like the comparison, but between this show and GOT, just about everything else on TV looks like garbage to me. GOT is better, but this show does a great job of keeping me on pins and needles.

And man, how much more can they up the ante on Rick's Badassness?

Did you see the looks on the faces of Glenn, Maggie and Tara?? Even his own group was shocked at the sheer brutality of Rick's plan.

That whole scene was great. I think Ricks line about not wanting to waste the bullets takes the cake for me though. There's something about the way Lincoln delivered the lines that was pure badass.

I really liked how they handled Bobs death. It sucked seeing him go, but it was a nice change up having someone go out and be at peace with it while keeping a positive outlook.
