Can anyone tell me more about that bear, what's his deal anyway? He's just so damn friendly, wanting to know how your kids are doing and offering to drive them home from school. He's even volunteered taking them camping next weekend. Love that guy.

It's pretty much tactical at this point. You've got a large building with many Windows and very few entrances. You also have at least one sentry watching the perimeter. I'm assuming they also have comms. Ricks group really doesn't have a ton of ammo to throw around so gun fight is probably out of the question. Send Carol in as a Trojan horse as has been mentioned. Darryl wouldn't have worked because like Noah said, they won't take people who are strong, who would fight back. No one would think that Carol is actually Rambo or even really capable of fighting. So while Ricks group causes a distraction outside, maybe tries to take out any easy targets, Carol works her way inside out taking out anyone she can.

Another thing I noticed was apart from Noah, the doctor, and the cops, I dont recall seeing any male patients. They were all female.

:exactly:

The last episode did seem to get things rather side-tracked. It sort of reminded me of "The Governor Mini-series" from last season :lol.

Beth is the herpes of this season. She leaves, but comes back.

They need to stop letting her sing, what is she, trying to jump start a singing career when she "walks off the show."

She's already got a half-*** one.

I guess Dawn is supposed to be the Governor-lite and the hospital is a stand-in for Woodbury - you get safety and security that you don't get from being out in the world, but you have to make compromises. Plus there's a power-mad authoritarian, working for "the greater good" running the show.

It's just another look at how another group of survivors is dealing with the zombie apocalypse. If you had your druthers, would you rather be in Rick's group, where there's at least some semblance of personal autonomy, or would you rather be in Woodbury or the hospital?

I met her at Dallas Comic Con a while back and she had her CD available for purchase

We haven't had a filler episode yet. Every episode so far has progressed the story dramatically IMO.

1 - Got out of Terminus (answered many Terminus questions in the processes)
2 - Got to the Church, introduced Father Gabriel
3 - Got rid of the Termites, killed a group member, split the group, major cliff hanger
4 - Finally find out what happened to Beth, raised many more questions, another cliff hanger (probably ties into episode three's cliff hanger)

That's why I said 'filler'. It wasn't so much a filler like we've had in the past, it was more of a case of a fill-in-the-gaps episode which was needed. I enjoyed the episode a lot, I just wish that they continued with the hospital story next week and kept the momentum going. This has the potential to be one if, if not the best season so far.

Not sure how this episode is boring - it's developing the story, and with the last story line wrapping up, a new one needs to begin. Nothing wrong with that.

Carol is faking. Seems like the writers pretty much hit you over the head with it. Noah explains to Beth they only take in the weak. Daryl couldn't go in, but Carol could if she pulls the woe is me routine. She didn't even have to be hurt - just laying passed out in a spot to be found. It's not like the 'cops' are rocket scientists.

I'm assuming Carol and Daryl actually saw Noah escape. They grab Noah, he gives them the lowdown on what's going on inside. From there it's pretty easy - they put Carol inside to make it easier to keep Carol safe, look for ways to break out, and if Rick and company have to attack, work as the inside person to ensure chaos internally when it hits the fan. Having Carol inside is a very smart move, and greatly improves the chances of getting Beth out alive. Carol isn't in any danger once inside, as long as she does what they say, unlike, say, Terminus. Daryl and Noah head back to get the others and catch them up.

Seems pretty straight forward, and much preferable to the idea that Carol and Daryl are stupid enough to fall prey to these yokles. It also makes more sense that it's Noah with Daryl than Morgan at this point.

The episode gave me the impression that the time from Beth being taken to Beth discovering Carol took place over only a matter of days (unless she was drugged up for longer?). That would imply that Rick's group was only at Terminus for a day or so before they escaped?...

Well I wouldn't go that far personally. The novelty is long gone, it's not really an 'event' show for me anymore, like it was in season 1 and even season 2. Now it's just something I watch. I doubt it'll ever get back that novelty no matter how watchable it remains.

It does seem like the timeline is wonky. Daryl and Beth were split up before he ran into the hunters. Seems like even with the jumps around from group to group, that a couple weeks have gone by...but they didn't make that seem quite as apparent with Beth's story. She could have been there a couple weeks, just didn't seem like that much time had passed.

I've enjoyed this season so far, much more than season four which is my least favourite season so far.

The time scale does seem way off.

It is entirely possible that Carol and Daryl see Noah (and maybe even Beth) escape, but then why the rush to get Carol on the inside? Why not wait on sending Carol inside until they go back to Rick's group, formulate a plan and have the reinforcements ready to go at a pre-determined time? If you are going to put someone on the inside, it is only a good plan if you can coordinate the attack (or rescue operation) at the same time. How is Daryl and the rest of the group going to know when Carol is going to attack and vice versa? It makes no sense to me.

I think everyone has a bad case of "Carol is a bad@ss-itis". :lol

Looks like I am in the minority on this one, but that is alright. We shall see over the next couple of weeks.

Dawn beat the crap out of Noah for taking the blame for the guy dying. Who knows what she might do to Beth for trying to escape. Plus it's obvious Beth wants out of there badly. Carol going in to reassure her that help was on the way would prevent her from trying something else that might get her injured or killed. Carol could coordinate with Beth and get a plan together for the arrival of the rescue party.
