I hate to say it yet again but I thought it was pretty damn contrived that the kid snuck out of the party for the sole purpose of seeing if Carol was going to bake him a batch of cookies in the middle of the night and then like a ninja climbed through the window and just stood there without sound until deciding to announce his presence.

I did almost expect her to pull a Game of Thrones and just quietly off him right then and there though.

If Rick had gone with Carol to the armory that kid would have been walker chow. I agree with Rick that that community has been very lucky. There is absolutely more going on than meets the eye. What are the "jobs" all the other people are doing that live there? It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. The "doctor" seems to be an alcoholic based on the party scene and next weeks preview. And possible a perve as he keeps wanting to look at rick and his kids.

I don't like how vague Rick and everyone are being with reasons for wanting to fortify the place better. They should be spelling out in great detail the tactics of those outside the walls rather than just saying "humans are the real threat. The end." Tell 'em how Terminus welcomed people in then got imprisoned and raped. Tell 'em how the Governor would crash through gates with trucks and "walker bombs" and that they should have a couple more vehicles parked on the road in front of the gate to prevent anyone from bursting through and so on.

Why attempt to convince other people? The only folks they whose opinions they care about are their own. Result: Git 'er done. :lol

Although the lyrics of the song might be applicable, the song as a whole is dreadful in a post apoc zombie show. There are literally tens of thousands of love or love lost songs from which to choose. If the lyrics are the only thing, then put them to a salsa beat, or country and then say the lyrics are what matter. The beat/melody made the moment silly and detracted from the serious tone of the show. I know its supposed to be a counterpoint to a serious tone, but it besmirches the tone of the rest of the show. Just my .02.

I'm sure they did when they were interviewed and videotaped.

This is so weird. I don't know what show this girl was in before, but when I saw the way she and Rick were looking at each other the first thing I thought was "how long before Rick starts mopping the floor with dat".

Alexandra Breckenridge was in the first season of American Horror Story, playing a maid named Moira O'Hara. She's supposed to be a temptress/sex object, but she's more victim than anything else.

Gimple and Kirkman have been teasing a Rick heel turn all season-long, what with him wielding an AK-47, a stereotypical "bad guy gun," and now ready to shoot a man dead in the middle of the day in the middle of the street. All because he wants dat ass.

He's on the verge of losing it, like the Governor when he offed Martinez because he was convinced he couldn't protect the community as well as he could.

Daryl too had taken to using an AK-47 but he's pulled himself back from the brink. Rick, Carol and Sasha seem to be the most unstable ones now.

I could see that lady telling Rick he is over reacting or not believing him about the Governor or Terminus...

Or saying that those people are the very small minority and that she believes everyone else out there is good or some crap like that.

don't give in michonne! beat em with a stick if u have to. don't give in to em urban slickers

sasha's jsut a meangie/rabbied dog now

It's not unusual to see doctors smoke. And I think the guy will end up being a abuser or something. He's kinda nasty to Jessie.

It's a lot more than that. Plus, they have to make him out a douchbag so Rick can kill him later. :lol

:goodpost::exactly:

he is the doctor of the place... im sure everyone will miss that at least

and his two boys will miss him as well, he might be abusive and everything but in the community he would be missed

I'm talking about us viewers not the characters, I'm sure the kids would care

There's something rotten in Alexandria. There is no way a community like that would have survived, let alone thrived, without Walkers or other survivors attacking it.

A couple things we know:

1.) Some group (the Wolves?) is going around and carving"W"s into people's foreheads. They are also dismembering bodies. Don't sound like a nice group of people.

2.) They have to be operating somewhere in the local area as there have been several signs of their handiwork both in Noah's family's community as well as just outside of Alexandria.

3.) Some group (the Wolves) broke into and destroyed Noah's family's community.

4.) This same group has not discovered or attacked Alexandria yet? I find this very hard to believe.

5.) Last week, Aiden said that they have cleared something like a 55 mile radius around Alexandria on their runs. This is another thing that is very hard to believe considering there are still Walkers all around the area and none of the Alexandrians strike me as self sufficient types that could clear that large of an area on their own.

6.) No one mans the look out tower. What??? That is completely crazy, unless there is a reason for it.

I think the reason is this. I wonder if the whole reason Rick's group was let into Alexandria was to help them defend themselves against another group of humans that is really in control of Alexandria. My thought is that another group of survivors (maybe the group that is carving "W"s into people's foreheads) is "protecting" Alexandria (maybe even helped build the walls) but at a high cost. That cost could be a share of the food, people to do hard labor, etc. The Alexandrians see Rick's group as a potential way to free themselves from their "masters" by having them fight them.

Deanna says that she is very good at reading people. This is one of the few statements of hers that I believe. She strikes me as the type that is not strong enough to pull the trigger of a gun, but smart enough to have someone else aim and shoot for her. I think that she is setting up a confrontation between Rick's group and the Wolves that will lead into the season finale. We know that the Wolves have to pop up sooner or later as there have just been too many references to them to NOT have them show up.

Sasha's reaction to the party was a little extreme in saying, "this isn't real", (definitley due to some PTSD) but I also think there is a good bit of truth to it. There is no way that group has survived this long without anyone else finding them and them having to defend themselves. No way.

Yeah, kind of the TWD version of the ant/grasshopper relationship in A Bug's Life. We just haven't met the grasshoppers yet.

I also thought it was interesting that there are walker's with a "W" carved into them and in Alexandria people get stamped with an "A." Something definitely seems to be going on with the letters.

As for the letters, it's an Us vs. Them sort of thing.

But why haven't the Wolves taken complete control over Alexandria? They don't know how to run the place?

Also...

Rick: I'm good.

People plying him with drink: You don't have to be.

:slap

I knew I recognized her from somewhere. She was great in American Horror Story.:naughty

She sure was, by golly.

She's dated Seth MacFarlane. :ohbfrank: I gotta get rich and famous quick. Time's a-wastin'.

Great theory. This was definitely a set up episode and had a very strange vibe throughout. It's cool to see how they've played up just how damaged Rick's group is after being on the road for so long. I like the slightly different direction this season is going and can't wait to see how the rug gets pulled out from under them.

I knew I recognized her from somewhere. She was great in American Horror Story.:naughty

You should have seen her in True Blood.:thud:

Now I'm wondering if the "Wolves" come to Alexandria every so often to claim the strongest members of the group to act as soldiers or warriors or something. That's why Alexandria always appears so weak to newcomers. It behooves the people of Alexandria to enlist new recruits to be claimed by the Wolves so that they don't start losing their own members who are very comfortable right where they are. Perhaps they send the videotapes (maybe via that girl who climbed the fence) to the Wolves so that the other group can review them and see if there's anyone they'd like to come and claim.

They did seem to really make a point to tell the audience that everyone raved about Rick on the videotapes.

Also the idiots who went out on a run with Glenn spoke of the four members they recently lost. Maybe those were "competent" warriors claimed by the Wolves. Also Aaron really wanted Daryl to replace his partner in going out on missions. Get other people to do the heavy lifting as quickly as possible because that's who are the Wolves are going to notice and want.

This might be a stretch, but what if the carvings on the walkers isn't "w" for wolves, but "m" for Morgan? That kind of swerve could keep readers of the comic guessing. This show is starting to make my head hurt the way Lost use too.
