If we're doing a Dead Pool for the upcoming season, I'm going with Glenn, Tara (finally!) and Eugene. Yeah, no real shockers here, but I'm trying to win. :lol

Deanna and her remaining son aren't eligible, are they? They're toast.

Mister Ski is working on something I think.

I just caught up on this show after season 5 was released on Netflix. I really enjoyed this season, though it probably works better as a binge experience than having to wait an entire week to see episodes, all things considered. I browsed through some comments here, and a common refrain is that the writing is bad, things don't make sense, etc. And of course this is true if you look at this show with a fine-toothed comb. Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad it ain't. However, I thought it was very, very good being a suspenseful human drama. And that's really all it ever aspired to be. You do start to care about characters, despite the fact that some of them do stupid things or seem to be immune from danger. I think this show is comparable to True Detective, Season 2. Not the greatest thing to ever appear on TV, but if you spend too much time trying to dissect the details you'll miss out on what the show does accomplish.

There were only a handful of moments where I was so baffled by something that I was distracted, but there were a few of them.

Going into season 6, I'm very curious about the Wolves. Why would they go to so much trouble to spring a trap for people with the zombies in the food trucks? Just to get interlopers killed? And of course, Daryl and whatshisface not hearing any of the hundred or so zombies lurking around in those trucks made no sense, but. . .just one of those things you roll with on Walking Dead.

There should be a study to see if opinions on a show differ from regularly aired times compared to binge watching. Mid season finale’s can be two months or 2 seconds till the next episode!

Yeah, I never dwelled too much on a given episode, because I was usually right on to the next one immediately, or a day or two later. So I probably did skip over some of the issues that would have bugged me more if I just honed in on them. But Nicotero et al. do a fantastic job of building up tension IMO. And I enjoyed thinking back to the comic stories I've read and how this tied into them.

Week by week or binge viewing, nothing will ever make the second half of Season 4 any better. :D

On the other hand I thought the first half of Season 5 was great!

Atleast we have psycho Rick for the new season! :rock

I'm ready for the new season. I do think the story is sometimes cyclical but I love the tone of this show. Love the characters. Enjoy the gore. Sunday can't get here quick enough.

I noticed that in the episode where Deana's son and Everybody Hates Chris died, the death effects were particularly well done. Deana's son was obviously a reference to Day of the Dead, and the fake head used for Chris was also an awesome throwback to some of the special effects of the late '70s and '80s.

I was extremely tempted to watch season 1 during AMC's marathon recently. One of the greater first season for a show in a long while. Can't wait for Sunday!
