Not a very funny article there, but Carl's just sort of background fodder at this point, so I don't have strong feelings about the character himself. However, if you take him and Judith away, then Rick's got no more motivation to do all that he does. So, at least one of those characters should be pretty well protected until the very end of the series, anyway.

I have to admit that I wanted Carl dead in the early seasons simply because I got sick of him disappearing and hearing "Where's Carl?" all the time. I still have never hated him as much as the kid in The Strain.

Eh. I don't mind Carl anymore. He was irritating in Ssn 2. Now, he's developing into a bit of a badass. I'm kinda hoping he becomes TWDs version of John Connor. Raised to lead humanity back from the brink.

Right! They haven't been following the comics that closely though, so... we'll see. My guess is they'll wait until he's older before doing that.

Judging by set photos, it's very likely to happen in Season 6.

If there are any "safe" characters on this show it is Rick, Carl and Michonne. Everyone else is vulnerable... even Daryl.

I expect Daryl to be dead by the end of the next season at the latest. TWD needs a GoT type death and he is the obvious choice.
