Tell me when winning an Emmy is actually a worthy gauge for anything.

:moon

That's for sure, especially these days. And add Grammy and Oscar to that.

Emmy for Outstanding Drama, Actor, Actress, and a multitude of other categories has been very great in choice of winners in the last 15 or so years. Walking Dead is not at the level of the shows that have won. It does not deserve a win for best show or even actors.

I thought the same thing at first, but then I remember when they burned those walkers in a pit and they still lived, and also, that was a stone quarry full of walkers, I don't know how they could've burned them all. If you've ever been to a quarry, it's pretty big and deep.

There were cars and trucks laying all over the place..blow a few gas tanks, problem solved :lol

Damn, some of those "village people" are dumb and irritating! I would have done the flame pit option. The walkers are contained. It would draw more walkers to that area. Much less risky than a Volksmarch and we know that went badly just as it was going to succeed. Preacher man, don't trust him. The cast is pretty large now, I expect some losses soon. Maybe we should start a dead pool? (A dead pool, also known as a death pool, is a game of prediction which involves guessing when someone will die. Sometimes it is a bet. The combination of dead or death, and betting pool, refers to such a gambling arrangement.

There's already a thread for that! :)

Not really a complaint, but I get tired of the mindset of one-upping themselves every season, it's true of movies too. What are they going to do next? Million Walker March? It's not necessary and not a tactic a truly good show/movie needs to use. Just keep the writing compelling and the viewers will keep watching.

Those-Who-We-Do-Not-Call-Zombies will eventually become smart and start using tools and weapons.

I agree with this. The whole storyline is pointless.

People were complaining about the seemingly lack of walkers attacking Alexandria, so I think this was in answer to that complaint. I thought it worked.

My friend and I had the discussion as well about burning the zombies in the pit. I argued against the idea. Basically the amount of resources used would not be worth the slight chance it could work. Even if they emptied all the cars of gasoline, the only way they could use it would be to splash the outside walkers and hope they would be able to spread it. I doubt they'd have anything with enough high pressure to get it out over a few feet and if they did the spray would be so spread out that the further zombies would only get a few droplets. Now say that they managed to set fire to every zombie and they're all engulfed in flames. That's like 10,000 bodies burning. The cloud of smoke would be seen 50 miles. That means zombies in all directions would see it and presumably start heading towards it. They could very well bring hundreds of zombies onto alexandrias doorsteps.

All that is to say the zombie walk was smart because it was pretty bonehead as well.

Create bombs and throw them over. Clear the pit out by moving the semi to let a few walkers out and then close it, kill them, repeat. Wait till winter then they will freeze, then go in and kill them. Catapult grenades in. So many different things they could have done... but the writers choose to have this storyline.... yeah....

Another uneventful, unnecessary, ill advised story direction season that just is filler until Negan shows up.

So we'll see you Sunday then right?

Why not build better "doors" for that pit? They can build walls like the ones they did for Alexandria and for the road. Or build a moat right outside the semis that are blocking, so when walkers start getting out, they just fall into the moat. Or block the exits with more boulders.

My point is: that quarry seems like the perfect way to contain walkers. Not only that, it even attracts more walkers to trap! So just work harder at fortifying the exits to the quarry!

I was fine with the B&W stuff. It made the flashbacks quicker to identify and it was an interesting stylistic choice for this one episode that also harkened back to the comic.

I thought Morgan was being very judge-y to Rick, judging every word and every action he did. But I guess ultimately he was good with what he saw.

And it has to be the wolves blasting the siren. Even that kid wouldn't be stupid enough to sabotage that plan and pretty much get everyone killed.

I think I will just watch that crappy Once Upon A Time show. I can't stand it. But maybe it will be fun to watch it and go in that thread (it has a thread, right?) and complain about it and play the armchair quarterback. :yess:
