Not sure where I stand on the 'is he or isn't he'.
He should be dead though. Even if he wasn't the one getting eaten shouldn't he be getting crushed to death? And I don't buy that he would be able to crawl away unnoticed even if he managed to get out from under the weight of Nicholas and all those walkers. He should absolutely be dead. But you guys have put doubt in my mind.

Other stuff - yer man with the wife back at Alexandria - when he was getting crushed against the fence and eaten alive why in the hell didn't someone put him out of his misery? Same with the girl who wrecked her ankle. She should have shot herself for that matter rather than pointlessly killing 2 out of 100 walkers. But maybe her fight or flight response just didn't give her time to think of doing that.

And they were all like "go on without me, plz" "let zombies eat me, plz".

Yeah. It's kind of annoying how easily these minor characters get picked off too. The worst was that guy from the first episode that was questioning Rick. As soon as he started questioning him I knew he'd be a goner. Then what happens? He somehow gets bitten by a random walker that is stuck in a tree. I don't care how inexperienced you are, that's pathetic. They make these red shirts way too weak and pitiful.

The whole "Rick's people are big bad asses" is kinda getting old. Yeah, they're the main characters, but things like Michonne's speech or Rick's attitude just makes it feel goofy, like how the fans would talk about their favorite characters. It doesn't feel realistic. If Glenn makes it out of this (and he will after the shenanigans they've pulled) that's some silly plot armor. Remember poor Tyreese and how easily he got Walker punk'd by a random kid Walker after all Tyreese went through? If Glenn gets out of this it just makes all these cheap deaths we've seen even more blatant.

I felt something when Glenn fell in and the music started playing. Genuine emotion. Being trapped and corned with no way out is realistic, it felt right. That could be anyone at any given time. That's the randomness of the world they live in. I actually felt something and felt sorry for Glenn. If they have him escape though, that just destroys that feeling. His look of defeat and suffering was a great, well acted ment on Steven Yeun's part. I thought it was a great episode until "nope, he's not dead!"

Agreed, I find it hard to believe the Alexandrians should be quite as cowardly and/or incompetent as they are being written. It's consistent with their portrayal last season though.

These people volunteered to go with Rick and the gang to help the community. They didn't have to. That's noble and brave in my opinion. It's not a selfish act, they're doing it for their loved ones back at home. This whole thing with the quarry and leading them out has been poorly planned by Rick anyway (one of the reasons I think he's losing his **** and on the verge of crying in the RV).

They make these new throwaway characters too weak and pathetic. Take that one guy last night that got bit in the back that had the wife. I thought it was pretty cool how he was like, "yeah, I know what happens, but I'm not going to mope and I'll go on anyway". Then immediately after that he starts questioning himself like a bumbling idiot. The writers never let any of these people have valiant moments, even in death. For once I'd like to think, "man, that person is kinda cool, I could see myself doing that for the group" or something instead of just giving them a throwaway death where they're screaming for help. I'd hate to be one of those actors or actresses that come in as a secondary character and have to act like a moron.

Rick and the gang need to be usurped. This whole "me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you" (or in Rick's case, abandon your ass to die :lol) is getting old. That's one of many reasons Glenn should bite it. That would make the group get more introspective again considering Glenn has been a part of the group since Season 1.

Spoiler for next episode!!!

Seven people are present and then a walker no one sees or hears sneaks up and bites David on the back.

if Glenn is still alive, which seems is the case, I have no idea how he would get out of there. Nobody is coming for him or even knows where he is. There was a good point in the talking dead. If that truck horn attracted all the walkers towards Alex, why not just drive in the complete opposite direction and honk your horn to drive them back?

I'm guessing if Glenn doesn't crawl underneath the dumpster, he can always try climbing back on top of the dumpster, running along it and then leaping for the chainlink fence that lines the alley. He's supposed to be the most agile member of the group.

That's always something that happens to women, they can't run without falling, etc. I hate when they do that in shows now.

Of course when they're a hot cop, they can run in spike heels. :lol

:lol

Agreed. It's also hilarious that in a scenario where such a thing should have been extremely likely to happen - Bryce Dallas Howard running away from a T-Rex while wearing huge high-heels - it didn't happen. :lol

Maybe.....

Another distinct possibility is that the cowardly Nicholas was hallucinating the entire sequence of events at the moment when the duo stood atop the dumpster as he mentally zones out, meaning neither of them are on death's door.

Remember when Nicholas was running through the woods with the group and he zoned out ? this could be a possibility.
They can easily pop up back on camera next episode with them both standing on the dumpster still alive and that was just an Hallucination

Interesting idea. I didn't think of that one. I kind of hope he is dead because if it was real and he got out then we pretty much know NONE of the main guys will ever die and that sucks. And sometimes people go out like that not with a superman heroic save the others last stand.

Any takers on how walkers are able to bore into someone's chest with just their hands? Are they able to use the bones of their fingers as stabbing instruments? How do they have the muscle-tension ability left in their hands to do this? How do they have the muscle-tension ability to get up and wal- ok, yeah, fictional creatures. Carry on!

They are not eating Glen. Even though they are clever in the camera angles, there is not way that Glen's intestine are that close to his face. All Glen has to get is get under the dumpster and sit tight. The Walkers will move on.

They don't seem to be getting much Glenn meat in that gif! :lol

Been waiting to post this exact thing........this is whats happening.

You will notice that Glenn is being very Un glenn like after leaving the pet store. He is FOLLOWING Nicholas, even taking orders from him. This is not Glenn's personality at all.

What we see is Nicholas seeing what could happen if he follows his old cowardly ways. The cost of another life that will be his fault. The entire sequence is filmed as a dream or hallucination .

What we will see is Nicholas become a self less person and sacrifice himself to SAVE Glenn. Dispelling his previous self and the death of Noah but finally becomeing a brave person. Which is why he says Thank You......

Better to die a hero than a coward.

I don't think they are eating him either but no way he could fit under a dumpster.
