Not really on EndoSickness' side (he needs to calm down and stop name calling) here but . . .

Pixletwin, why do you get so sassy when people on here hold different opinions than you do? You were getting bitchy about the critics criticizing the episode. Couple of days ago you were getting all annoyed and snippy in one of the Star Wars threads because people were being justifiably skeptical/critical about the movies. You act all priggish about mere opinions man! :lol This is like the fourth time I've seen you tell someone to leave or make them feel like they don't know how to appreciate something the way you do.

It's like some of you guys just can't handle a different view point on here that challenges how you feel about something, so you resort to belitting them or their thoughts like it's somehow "wrong". It's been going on for years, that classic, "complaining about people's complaints", which is arguably more annoying and obnoxious than someone's rant. I guess I just don't get it.

People on here need to chill out.

This.

I'm personally glad we don't all agree on the same things.

People on here need to chill out, it's just a ****ing message board.

Yes. People can say "I thought the episode was nihilistic" without then saying "and everyone who liked it is a psychopath" just like people can they weren't into it without being called whatever names as well.

It's cool. Obviously this episode is of great discussion interest to a lot of people and I'd hate to close the thread.

True and I won´t be the one responsible.
I get provoked easily by guys like him. I managed to keep my cool a while...there a switch.
Should´ve clicked elsewhere though...
:lol

Precisely! That's the main reason I've given up, I feel it's not going anywhere. The episode it's self was just repulsive enough for me to ask myself "do I really want to watch this stuff anymore?" "I've missed episodes of Westworld, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and a ton of movies lately that I enjoy more, I've got a very full plate." I can stop watching this.
I've also gone through the death of my mother this year that has changed my perspective on a lot of things. I need to find entertainment that's not as depressing as real life is for me at the moment.

I just think it is funny how after so much repetition and so much brutal gore in 6 seasons it was just glenn getting bashed that made everyone question the show lol.

We just saw a little kid get eaten in front of his family and his mom's face getting bite and we see rick cut of her hand and carl have his eye blown out... that was pretty dark too.

I dont think it's repeating itself. With the gov it was postured as an even match. Here, they are going out of their way to show you Rick is overmatched. By a TON. This is not a regular challenge. He and his group will be subjugated, beholden to a stronger power. And thats never happened before and it opens up the story.

Negan might be more dangerous and stronger and have more power but the story will play out the same.
Because there are only so many ways these plots can go

I wonder if rick had his arm cut off by the governor and if michonne was tortured and abused if people would have quit the show then

Maybe they should have toned down negan as well lol

Third times the charm

There was a moment before Negan finished Glenn where he was apologizing to the group for the brutality that JDM seemed to deliver with absolute sincerity. I thought that was an interesting choice. I wonder if that was all his choice or if the director asked him to deliver it that way..

When my mom passed away I stopped watching shows with realistic violence (like Law & Order and CSI type shows) and it took a long time for me to want to watch them again. Then my dad passed away and while I am ok watching shows like TWD they really do affect me in a different way. While the season premier was bad for me it was even worse during the cliff hanger with the first person view and Negan saying “taking it like a champ.” Just the thought of being there and hearing him be an ass to you while he kills you just got to me pretty good. I’ve turned into a big baby I think. :)

He was funny. Morgan does a terrific job. There´s nothing more to say about this.

On one hand, you have a guy with mashed brains, and on the other you have a funny delivery of a pretty messed up line. Dunno why, but the end result is quite hilarious. For me anyway.

I couldn't stop laughing at Negan's reaction to "suck my nuts", lol.

HE SAID SUCK MY NUTS!

Oh man I can't even type it without laughing.

Now if you will excuse me I need to go toss off to "Hostel 2".

I know, right? I burst out laughing when he was talking to Glenn: "Buddy, you still with us? Man, I hit your skull so heard your eye popped out... and it's gross as ****!". Seeing it written down is unsettling, but that was some hilarious stuff on TV. Dunno, maybe it's because it was supposed to be a super dramatic scene, and Negan was acting like a lunatic, the whole thing felt like a parody to me.

Yeah, that a "nice" moment. It showed that Negan was more than a raving a lunatic. And it was quite terrifying that he was completely in control of his actions.
