The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Comic and Un-aired Spoilers unwelcome!)

Two characters I had the most interest in this season are Dwight and Gabriel. Although this episode was slow in parts happy they fleshed out the Dwight character. In some ways last two weeks have been refreshing getting to know new characters (Dwight and The King)

Now I know how they can afford better CGI and stuff... The show is 45 minutes of commercials.

And my wife brought up something interesting. When Negan asked what his name is Daryl should have said "Glenn."

Episode airs here in an hour... but, isn't that what usually happens? We get these cliff-hanger episodes with Rick and the Governor or something, and then we spend two episodes focusing on Carol or someone going walkabout, or Eugene and Abraham walking up a railway track for 40 minutes

The Walking Dead season 7, episode 3: “The Cell” showcased all of the series’ worst habits
1) The show spent 40 minutes telling a five-minute story
2) “The Cell” is basically the same four scenes replayed over and over
3) Negan is so edgy. So mean. So Negan. So boring.

I wish it was a flashback episode instead. Actually showing what Negan did to Dwight, instead of just talking about it.

This episode was boring and chock full of freaking commercials. It was 5 minutes of show, commercial break. That's what I get for watching it live I guess.

Maybe they might reserve that for a Negan backstory!! I don't read the comics so I don't know who Negan is, BUT we need to see the threat of Negan. Wy do people kneel? Why are we all Negan? and all that ****. One small mutiny and Negan is done!! What I have learned so far is that if Dwight is one of Negans right hand men then everyone is a victim of Negan. Everyone must carry hate.

Running times for TWD average out to about 45 minutes for an hour long show, which is about average for all tv shows these days.

This episode felt like it was frontloaded with commercials...I swear we got 4 breaks in the first 20 minutes. That kills the pace of the show IMO.

They didn't give Negan a backstory in the comics. They recently gave a 5 or 5 part mini story on him at the end of a magazine, or another comic from image (can't remember) That gave what his life was before the apocalypse, and how Lucille got her name.
