OMG.........I loved this episode. I just don't understand. I really think it's time for some of you to give up on the show and watch something else. This had more than just Rick and Michonne. They killed like....50 walkers?

Oh well. I enjoyed. Sorry you guys didn't.

Indeed. Once Upon a Time is back to air now I hear.... :D Without Westworld or GOT for sunday nites are free now!

I've been watching since the first season and I'm not ready to give up yet, but I will admit the stories are starting to look thin.

ok.. last night was pretty bad IMO .. I always been super excited sunday night to watch it.. but im loosing interest.. it repeats itself.. seams like they dragging the end fight out so much... it looks more and more like Resident Evil ... always new strange groups need to be added to keep something "new" into the show..

Its like TWD becomes fear the walking dead... the milking has reached its high point. I pray for next season to be the last

Think I'm just about done with this show now. And that's incredibly upsetting for me. I've been following this show since the 1st season and wanted to stick with it til the end but I just feel like the writers are not even trying anymore. I've noticed that fans on TWD forums are even disappointed at the lack of creativity now. Not to be a killjoy but last night's episode felt like they were catering to shippers. I wouldn't be against "Richonne" if their hooking up had been developed properly. It just feels forced and I can't get onboard. Besides that, ~enough with the romance~. The show is nothing like it used to be. If they presented this show the way it's going now, there is no way it would've been as huge. I feel like no one in RL watches it. Literally. I only see fans online :lol

I am really bummed about this though.

The only thing I dread about the weekly episodes is coming to this thread. :monkey1

Maybe I'm strange for feeling this way, but I love reading the various opinions of something I love or hate. I enjoy reading someone else's perspective on these things. I never understood why some people tend to take someone's dislike on something as a negative thing. I don't expect everyone to agree with my views. As long as it's expressed in a civil manner, all opinions should be welcomed. Lol

I am fine with people who dislike TWD. Difference of opinion has nothing to with what I posted.

I agree the Richonne thing seems forced. Every time they have a scene together to try to show their relationship, it just seems contrite.

While not the best episode, it was certainly not the worst either (S3 episode where the Governor chases down Andrea as she escapes Woodbury and tries to get back to the prison holds that honor for me.) Overall, I liked the episode because for the first time in the series, it focused on Rick and Michonne and their relationship. This show is more than just zombie kills for me. It is about the characters and their relationships with each other. It is why we care (or don't care) about them and what happens to them.

Personally, I don't find their relationship forced at all. It just evolved over time and all the ***** the two of them went through just brought them closer together. I would encourage people to re-evaluate individual episodes after the whole season has aired. It is clear to me that the writers are building up to something big and have to have these slower, stand alone episodes (like Tara and Oceanside episode - you know that Rick and company will be heading there before they go to war with the Saviors) to set the stage for it all coming together at some point in the future.

Ween, Pixy and I have been with the series from the beginning and will be with it until it ends, which is hopefully not for a very long time. My favorite show on tv. Period.

I respect your opinion about the show and dedication to stick with it till the bitter end. I haven't totally sworn off it, but my sunday nights for sure do not revolve around this show, and haven't for a good year or so. I get that they are moving towards something but the writers only seem to be capable of moving towards that goal in a season by season basis. Yes understand you need to fluffer episodes, but still, the show lacks a cohesive forward plan ASIDE from the impending war with the Saviors. I honestly think the Saviors are the last 'bad guy group out to do in Rick and Co.' they can get away with force feeding the TV audience. Even if this season culminates in an armed confrontation with them, say they milk the resolution of that to season 8 mid way. What then? They can't have us swallow another baddie group, no matter what. That is why the show has gotten stale to many, but as I said I admire your dedication. I've morphed into a much more casual observer, I like seasonal story arcs just like the rest of us, but when its the SAME SEASONAL STORY ARC that is when I really have a hard time carrying any show's flag!

wow, i won't even waste my bandwidth downloading it then. I still haven't seen the Tara episode and I don't think I've missed anything. par for course, every good and decent episode is followed by a dud.
I never saw the tara episode and i dont think i ever will.
Theres nothing about it that sounds appealing to me.

They basically have done almost everything they could as far as stories go.
All shows tend to repeat stories (sons of anarchy and dexter recycled a lot)
But with walking dead it feels much more obvious. Since there are littlle characters each episode and the whole world is dead.
Since theres not much going on in the world of walking dead then slower episodes go at snail pace.

They are spreading the story too thin. Since they need 18 episodes they are extremely spreading everything.
The seasons should be shorter.

Lol, as far as the comic goes, the negan story is the highlight. It goes down from there, so if u are bored now, wait till they finish this story :lol :lol youll get to watch grass grow in real time :lol

I get it can be a hard slog through some chunks of a season (heck first half of S7 was rough), but I look at it as experiencing this journey with the characters. These characters are going through something that none of us will ever go through. The biggest appeal of this show to me is thinking how I would handle the same situation. I would like to think I'd be like a Rick and fight the good fight, but damn if sometimes I don't think that Dr Jenner from S1 might have had the right idea. However, I became emotionally invested in these characters from S1, so I won't be quitting on them until the end comes.

As for TWD after the Negan story, there is much more in the comics and the next obstacle that Rick and company faces is horrifying in their own special way.

I get there are always going to be haters out there (not you per say), but what I will never understand is why they stick around something they dislike so much? Are they trying to validate their opinion to others? Trying to get those that like it to change their minds and say they were right? Life is too short to invest so much energy in such a negative and futile effort. It is why I don't respond to most of the posts on here anymore.

In the not too distant future, it'll only be Ween and pixle posting in this thread. It'll look a little something like this.

I'd prefer that to the whine fest this thread has become from posters who apparently have nothing better to do than to watch a show they can't stand and then relive the same glib banter every week.
