Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

best part of the trailer was the group clearing the prison out and T-dog or Rick with the riot shield. Straight out of the comics that!

Im liking the Andrea/Michonne being captured by Governors men. Nice way to do all of it. They really need to get some characterisation behind Michonne from the very beginning and have some real heavy investment in her, as it looks like she will be leading Andrea out of the two.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Looks like we're in for a wild ride this season! :rock

I have to get busy reading. I have the whole comic series on my iPad.

If I miss this because the people at DISH are money hungry dingleberries...I'm going to be pissed.

I also don't want to miss Hell on Wheels.

Same here. I was so pissed that Dish dropped AMC. I really hope they get their issues worked out because I definitely don't want to miss TWD this October. I'll probably have to find another way to watch it, though.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Way too early to judge....but the season 3 trailer is a bit of a disappointment to me.

The first season was so cinematic and dramatic. The second season began to lack that after the first few episodes....and this season 3 trailer makes me wonder if the show is becoming too routine and losing its original 'character' from the first season.

The pilot episode is the greatest pilot episode I have seen, it is a stand alone film. Emotional, isolated and lost...are ways I describe.

I attribute this to the firing of Frank Darabont. There is no doubt the vision for the show has changed since Darabont departed, for the worse I fear.

Regardless, I am looking forward to seeing the new season and will reserve final judgement until the season finale.

Better check out now if that trailer did nothing for you. Also better check your pulse. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

That was better than most movie trailers I've seen. I'm so looking forward to season 3.

The prison clearing scenes look like they stepped right off the page, very cool.

So it looks like Andrea instead of Rick gets taken to Woodbury, interesting. I didn't think they'd do the cutting off of Rick's hand in the show, but I wonder what direction its going. I also wonder if they're going to take it as far as they did in the comic with what transpires between Michonne and the Governor.

Don't click this spoiler if you haven't read the comic!
I'll be really surprised if the show does the raping of Michonne by the Governor. Really surprised.

I wouldn't. Not one bit. They already get away with gore up the wazoo and quite a bit of profanity. Kinda already got the creepy vibe that Ed was doing that to Sophia, so taking that taboo and toning it down for the scenario you have in spoilers isn't that far of a leap.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Indeed. They've already done the light, and positive side of that in the first 2 episodes.

They don't even need to show it. Just imply it. Far more effective.

More book spoilers ahead...

I don't think the rape stuff would be as shocking as the torture/mutilation that happens after. That side of the book really hasn't been touched on yet in the series. Its one thing when the zombies are mutilating or being mutilated, its an entirely different thing to watch Rick hack some poor bastard up, or the Governor to hack some guys head off with a sword.

That's really what I'm wondering about. Will the show go that far?

Good points. I guess we'll see when the new season arrives.

If they do, then all I ask...

...is that she nail his ____ to the floor.
