Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I can't wait to hate the Governor.

Please let HT or EB or anyone get this licence!

With the comic fans, TV fans, you'd think someone would be tackling this soon. :dunno

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Speaking of figures, how are the McFarlane tv show Rick and Daryl toys? I have never seen Daryl in person, but Rick I nearly picked up a while back. Sadly, I went after him later and he was gone.

I saw the all the TV figures at TRU awhile back. They all had horrid paint jobs and weren't worth the money imo which suck cause the sculpts looked decent :(

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I was in a rush, so I didn't get to oggle the thing, but I remember Rick looking like Rick. I know McFarlane has changed drastically as a company, but they can't be that bad, can they?

those things are Godawful, they are really really bad, joints are horrendous, paint was really bad,

you really did not miss out on a lot

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

all I can say right now is..DAMN YOU DISH! DAMN YOU TO HELL!!..RIP walking dead :monkey2..imma have to find another way to watch it when it comes out..amc website shows the episodes about a week after they air correct?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I still don't understand why Dish is dropping AMC? I don't have that service, thank god, but I'm not seeing their angle, outside of trying to charge it as a seperate channel or package.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

they already dropped it like a couple months back. the customer service rep told me that amc was hiking the price to renew their contract with dish and that they also wanted dish to add certain channels as well and the price was ridiculous..blah blah blah..on the bright side theyre giving me a $10 a month credit for 12 months on my bill for the inconvenience lol..still not enough to ease the pain

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

I know nothing about the whole thing, or how networks or cable companies gather revenue, but it all seems kind of lame. It doesn't matter who's ****ing who, something should've been worked out. Thank god for other services.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

yeah Im thinking of going to directv only other option as the cable here where I live is not great at all...

Like I said the sculpts themselves looked decent but the paint on every figure I saw was sloppy and cartoonish which is such a shame cause the protos looked real nice and I really wanted to pick up the Rick and Daryl figures. If you had the skill, I suppose you could repaint them.

Anyways I'd love to see NECA get the license for TWD for smaller scaled figures. Anything is better than the McFarlane ones.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Can someone confirm this?

If I remember correctly season 2 was on amc website about a week delay..so for example say you missed season 2 episode 1..well the next week when episode 2 would air episode 1 would be on the website. Thats how I was able to watch the first episode from season 2 I had missed it on tv so I just watched it online the week after it came out..its been awhile though so I hope Im not mistaken...

That Rick looks a hell of alot better than the ones I saw at my TRU. The paint on Daryl, especially the eyes, looks bad though and really throws off the likeness.

those joints are an abomination,
Mcfarlane chose a Hell of a time to start experimenting, why wouldn't he just make them semi statues like all his other toys before? they would have looked really good without the God awful joints showing everywhere,

I was also really disappointed in the size, they were too small for the price, 20 bucks? they had to be joking, they were too tiny for me,

I really really wished NECA took the license, they would have done Wonders, they would have made awesome characters and zombies :monkey2

Yeah the joints are odd especially since the figures look like they are designed for only a certain poses. I 100% agree, TWD would have been perfect for NECA. NECA made some TWD busts I believe, hopefully some figures may be in their future.
