Meh, GoT follows the books in that regard. WD doesn't. Keeping everyone on their toes that way. I still stand behind Rick being the only one safe. He's the only one on the covers of the freaking DVD/Blu Rays afterall. Its like killing off Castle or House and trying to keep the series going. It doesn't work like that. They've got to build up a new Rick before they could kill him off.

That said, if they did kill off Rick unexpectedly, then that would be a major HOLY @!#% momment!

Maybe kill of Rick while the rest of the gang is running away from the prison (so they don't rekill him) then when he turns into a zombie we see the world through a zombies eyes for a while.

Agreed! Rick is not going to be killed off anytime soon, if at all. Daryl? Who knows? I hope he sticks around for a long time. I think he will as long as he remains a fan favorite. AMC doesn't want to lose viewers too soon.

Well, we did magically get through the winter between 2 and 3, so that helped age Carl some. I thought he was going to die in the opener of last season just because the actors are aging faster than time was taking place (Lost had to get rid of Walt for that same reason) so I don't think they'll have to rapidly age him as long as they keep having jumps in time between season. But nobody is safe but Rick on the show, so he could easily be killed off this year too.

But the funny thing about the Carl romance possibility is that him being the younger one its like "You go Carl!" but had the girl been the younger one it would have been "You scumbag Carl!"

South Park even made fun of that.

I'm pretty sure if they killed either Rick or Daryl a lot of people would stop watching. Rick is pretty much the main character and Daryl is a fan favorite so I am not sure if AMC would do that.
I mean they could but it would not be as interesting specially when they don't have a strong leader or a good replacement for them. I could see anyone else getting killed up except them. Why would they even do that? what purpose would that serve the story besides just being a shocker?
