another great episode. man, they really meant it when they said they were upping the pace and tension this season.

i loved the part where the inmates encounter walkers for the very first time, proceed to stab/beat the crap out of them, and not make a damn difference. while rick and gang do a mental facepalm.

The first two seasons had me thinking Rick was going to talk it out and give Tomas a few more chances. Then- machete to the head. Love new Rick.

What was the deal with the Dog food? I know dog food is probably disgusting but, was it a pride thing with Rick? or is eating that dangerous?
I didn't get that. Now before anyone asks if I love eating dog food.... what I am thinking is these people are starving, so I don't know I didn't get why he got mad about it.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that Rick's pride wouldn't allow the group to eat dog food but I can't remember where I read that or if it was on the Talking Dead.

I interpret the whole scene as symbolic. They are hungry, dirty, tired, and on their last legs but Rick will not allow his group to resort to eating dog food cause to him that is stopping to the levels of animals and no different than those zombies outside.

To him eating dog food means they have given up and he is not giving up yet.

Thanks. that is interesting about the Talking dead and I Wasn't sure at first. I don't know if dog food can get you sick or not. I think it might.

...How about Carol last night? I know she was a bit nuts in the comic, but practicing surgical techniques on a walker? I'm starting to think maybe she isn't over Sophia (and who can blame her). But she seems a little too interested in "helping" Lori with the baby.

Who was watching Carol from behind the tree? The episode just kinda left that one hanging.

I original thought it was Merle but that's obviously not the case.

Whoever it was seemed to be on the inside of prison. Meaning it's likely another prisoner. Someone not with the group found in the caf. Could be like a Mason type on the loose.

I'll have to re-watch. I thought the lurker was outside the fence looking through some bushes?

Thanks, that explains it. I've only read up to the end of the 1st Compendium and I'm guessing that must come later. I gotta get off my ass and pick up the 2nd one now that its out.

who killed the prisoners that were bound in the cells? wounds to the back of head & hands bound behind their backs? were they walkers or not?

i assumed it was rick's group. i guess i missed too much to get the implied conversation about them being the lucky ones.

I think the prisoners that were tied up and shot were already dead before Rick's group got there, that was a different cell block than Rick's group was in anyway. I figured guards did that when the ***** hit the fan not knowing what was going on.

ah...........that makes sense. they know gun shots attract walkers so that's what had me a bit confused.
