Not so much more information about the show, but a video showing one of the zombie makeup effects. It's of what is dubbed Bicycle Girl, which is the zombie Rick comes across laying in the field as he's riding the bicycle away from the hospital from the first issue that will show up in the first episode.

Came across this right after I posted the Bicycle Girl video. AMC has a contest for a walk-on role as a zombie during Season 2 of The Walking Dead.

Not sure if I'm more excited about the contest of the fact that they are already talking about Season 2.

3-1/2 hour Walking Dead zombie-fication condensed to 3-1/2 minutes

Those of us who were background zombies only had to spend 10-15 minutes in the makeup chair. But that just meant more time spent outside in the unforgivable heat & humidity.

Same here, bro!

Those of us who were background zombies only had to spend 10-15 minutes in the makeup chair. But that just meant more time spent outside in the unforgivable heat & humidity.

Oh, they kept us plenty hydrated with water, Powerade, etc. They also kept bringing us these towel wipes dipped in ice water with something called "Sea Breeze". You'd wrap it around your neck and it instantly started cooling down your entire system. Pretty wild. I need to find that stuff for when I'm doing yard work.

Thanks for posting that vid Snoopy! I saw this video the other day, and I'm just amazed at how far AMC is letting them push the envelope, so let's hope it stays that way....

It will. AMC's lead Standards & Practices person has been here on set every day and has ok'd every single bit of footage you've seen so far (including some that was not shown in the SDCC trailer but WILL be aired on the actual show).

So don't worry about that. This show WILL push the envelope for onscreen TV gore.
