I think however this season ends, will set the tone for the rest of the show. It was said that the next few episodes were going to be pretty close to being shot for shot with the comic.

I only read the First Compendium, so it'll be nice going in completely blind for a change........and I can always find my way to the spoiler thread if I get weak.:lol I really gotta catch up and get the 2nd compendium though.

Doesn't the 2nd go to issue 96? Been awhile since I've read it, but I think the story stays solid up until that point.

So, I watched the new trailer... there are many things that are happening, but one thing I noticed: Why does Beth have Daryl's knife on her belt? It is almost a blink and you miss it clip, but you can clearly see it. Also, it looks like the lesbian sister is still alive, and is rescued by someone in on of the prison's riot gear.

All in all, I am pretty pumped to see what is going to happen.

Beth and Daryl ran off together and he probably gave her the knife for protection.

Not to spoil anything, but I wouldn't say what comes after the Prison so much sets the tone for the show, but the direction - if they are sticking close to the comic that is. The tone more or less is going to remain the same for a while now - things are back to not being great. They have no safe place to live after all. I think we all (them included) forgot just how good they had it in the prison.

I think that's right. Its just before issue 100 at least. The last few issues of that compendium launch the comic towards the event it is currently in right now. And when that hits the show, its going to make for some good TV.

I kinda meant in terms of how close it will follow the comic. I mean aside from minor differences, the prison raid and aftermath was probably the most similar to the comic of any episode in a long time. Gimple was going to make this remaining 8 close to the comic and from the previews, it looks like panels out of the comic. I just don't want it to get into a weird side tracked tangent that it doesn't need to. There is a lot of story between the fall of the Prison and where the story is currently in the comic to need anything extra.

Yea it goes to 96. And youre right BM. The current storyline will be ridiculous and I have no idea how they will be able to get it on cable. :lol

More I noticed: looks like Rick might start using a hatchet like in the comics. And when we see Michonne at the end, it looks like we can see one of the scraps of cloth nailed to a tree from when they were looking in the woods for Sophia. Does this mean that they are heading back to the farm, or am I reading way too into this? Probably the latter, I need to go to sleep.

Doubtful. He'll still swear up a storm, they'll just cut the F-bombs. They already say the S-word repeatedly. :huh

Or maybe in three years when David Morse makes his first appearance as Negan the world will be enlightened enough to realize that censoring the word **** on a show called The Walking Dead is a little ridiculous.
