TOP FIVE FAVORITE WRESTLERS AT THE MOMENT:

1. Dolph Ziggler
2. Randy Orton
3. CM Punk
4. RVD
5. Chris Jericho-------why are they making Jericho seem so weak?!?!?! :gah:

On second thought, after seeing smackdown I would have to say

1. Dolph Ziggler
2. Randy Orton
3. CM Punk
4. Daniel Bryan
5. Chris Jericho

I can't be the only one that gets the feeling they still have "Attitude era" scripts on file and just white out "Austin" and fill in the name of whatever new babyface they're trying to push.

Last week it was banned from the arena, this week we had the old "destroy a car" gimmick. So what's next week? Interrupt a HHH promo by storming the arena in a Prius then attacking him with a bag of granola?

He'll drive a big soy milk truck down to the ring, and spray the heck out of the new Corporation.

Everything is cyclical with the WWE nowadays. But they're reusing storylines in the right way with Danielson so far. And they're letting this one take its time so far. Tonight, letting him and Rollins (one of my top 5 ;) ) go at it for 10 minutes or so, pulling out all the stops, reminding audience members why they really like Bryan so much. . .honestly I think it was a stroke of genius. And I haven't thought that about the WWE much over the last several years. Little kids, the smart marks, old folks, everyone was SO into the end of the Bryan/Rollins match, because they are both just about as good as it gets in the ring, and together, don't need gimmicks or mic skills or the WWE machine to get an audience interested (even though both have all those things right now).

It's a good time to be a wrestling fan. I'm proud of the WWE. But as we saw with Punk, not all good things can last when you're talking about the WWE. So I'm enjoying it while I can :lol

Rollins/Bryan was great. I'd like to see another match between these two soon.

I'd also say that Orton/Christian was a pretty good TV match too. They had good chemistry during their run of PPV matches in '11 and this harkened back to it for me.

Looks like JR has retired but there are some reports of him being let go.

IMO if he was going to retire they should have gave him a big sendoff on Raw he deserves that at least. And if he was let go then that is a real shame because the man has given his all to the business and deserves better.

Yeah apparently he was in charge of the WWE 2K14 panel and that meant he was in charge of Richard Flair

The way McMahon has treated him over the last few years is pathetic. But then, McMahon doesn't really care about anything but the bottom line. He doesn't even really try to hide that. Not much room for respect for others who helped get him where he is, or sentimentality.

Yeah McMahon has treated Jim Ross like **** for years. I think he was just looking for any type of excuse to let him go. The reason is supposedly he couldn't "control" Ric Flair during the 2K14 panel. :cuckoo:

I'm not a Prime Time Players fan personally. I think they are pretty pedestrian in the ring, though supposedly the big guy is good on the mic (he hasn't had many chances to show off on regular WWE TV).

I'm thrilled that Daniel Bryan is now "the man" in the WWE, though it still seems bizarre. No one has worked harder for it, so he's certainly earned anything he's achieved. I wish WWE would get Cesaro the hell out of his tag team and start pushing him as a legit, singles threat (something I was saying about Bryan about this time last year :D ). Guys like him, Bryan, and Seth Rollins are the real future of the WWE for fans of in-ring performance. Someone else pointed out to me that Cesaro would have been a better choice than Ryback as Heyman's muscle, and I agree. Providing Heyman to help sell him could pay huge dividends, since Cesaro is the real deal in the ring. Heyman helped launch Steve Austin's career this way back in the '90s. It's just not going to happen with Curtis Axel or Ryback, I'm afraid.

I think they have more charisma than the rest of the tag team division combined.

Holy crap, it's been years since I've seen a pop like the one DB received last night! That was amazing.

The Stephanie McMahon thing is getting really stale and old quick...

I might be missing the matches/interviews you refer to. Usually when someone like the Prime Time Players come out, I'm going to get dinner or do the laundry or something :lol

No one wants to talk WWE?

Sure, shoot ahead buddy.

The main problem is that good ole JR is a mark for himself and should have told McMahon to stuff it years ago.

The amount of **** that they threw at him and yet time and time again he went back for more so I have no sympathy for him.

Wrestling was his whole professional life, though. And he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would enjoy roughing it with the morons at TNA, or doing work for independent promotions. I can understand why he stayed with McMahon, in other words, even if I'm sure it was hard for him sometimes.

Give them a shot. They're decent in the ring, or at least better than they once were. While that part of their abilities might not be at the very highest level they are entertaining on the mic and quite funny. Titus O'Neil really gets the crowd going with that bark he does.

I love JR, his commentating is unmatched, his work on the Legends of Wrestling was great and I would love to read a book or watch a Shoot Interview with him, the dirt he would have would be off the chain sleazy.

But you lose sympathy for him after the way he went back for more after the way they treated him since day dot when he started way back in '93.

Yeah I can never seen him working in TNA unless Spike flatten the company and reprogram a new Wrestling show.

If TNA gave him mostly control over the programming it would be a great move by them. Doubt it though.

Man TNA may not survive at all. That is one hell of a mess of a company. I couldn't see JR anywhere near that company.

Giving JR any sort of creative freedom in TNA would fail with the sharks he would be swimming with.

As I say should Spike buy out the Carter's and make a new company then there would definitely be a place for JR.

But didn't almost everyone go back to McMahon :D No matter how bad they got treated, guys always seem to come back eventually. Bret Hart is probably the best example.
