No one wants to talk WWE?

The rehashed "bad Mcmahons" storyline, the shameless "babyface" push Prime Time's getting after Young came out of the closet, or the fact that they treat their viewers like forgetful imbeciles. Big Show had an "Iron Clad" contract in last year's same same storyline for doing the same ****, KO'ing babyfaces, yet they're threatening to fire him just a year later? :lol

But didn't almost everyone go back to McMahon :D No matter how bad they got treated, guys always seem to come back eventually. Bret Hart is probably the best example.

That is the thing with Vince as long as there is green to be made then you can always go back.

Hell even Warrior is talking to him again and a HOF '14 induction and match at WM 30 is rumoured.

Yeah Bret is a fine example what with Montreal '97 and Owen. :(

The Big Show is broke according to the storyline. Still makes no difference as the contract is 'Iron Clad' as you say.

The WWE has been treating fans, sorry Universe as imbeciles for year upon year.

Do you still think Bryan can't cut it as a headliner Nam? I remember your doubting his abilities there a year or two ago. Though I think he's got what it takes, the jury's still out.

Man TNA may not survive at all. That is one hell of a mess of a company. I couldn't see JR anywhere near that company.

Giving JR any sort of creative freedom in TNA would fail with the sharks he would be swimming with.

As I say should Spike buy out the Carter's and make a new company then there would definitely be a place for JR.
Yea true.
Either a buy out or a complete make over are there only chances.

I like the direction TNA was taking before Hogan and the Bish arrived in Jan 2010. I also liked the first year of the new regime but this Ace's & Eights storyline, MMA fighters coming and going, release and release, no company stars are all taking there toll on TNA.

Nope, I still think he can't. Sure a number of WWE fans will eat it up like sheep, but once the storyline changes, they'll hate him again. Even with the hell of a push he's getting now, Daniel still has squat for mic skills. And unfortunately, as has been shown time and again, you can have great wrestling skills and great mic skills and make it. You can have great mic skills and zero wrestling ability and make it. But you can't have good wrestling skills and zero mic skills and expect to be anything more than a "temporary fix" while the "Franchise" is healing. Hell, they're struggling with the Heyman CM Punk storyline and Punk's a great wrestler with mediocre mic skills. He's a phenomenal wrestler, and I think him vs. CM Punk would make a great match at Wrestlemania, but his mic skills will have them passing the belt back to Cena when he recovers (assuming he even has it that long).

I fear Cena will step right back into his spot when he returns, and I also get a feeling that McMahon is anxiously looking for another giant, 'roided freak with some mic skills to replace his golden boy once the culmination of injuries finally take their toll. But this could be a situation like we saw in the early 1990s where a smaller guy really is allowed to carry the company for awhile.

And that's the one exception to your rule that I can think of--Bret Hart. Who wasn't a big freak, had OK mic skills, though nothing great, yet was still the Man for several years primarily because of his in-ring ability.

Sandow's good, but he's no Cena by a long shot in my book. And trust me, I'm no Cena fan :lol I just recognize he's got the gift of gab. And he's extremely charismatic.

Cena's alright on the Mic when he's semi scripted, but when he starts rambling and telling those cheesy jokes I'm ready to hang myself. Kinda like when Triple H gets out there and starts rambling. But speaking of Mic work, heel Stephanie is great. Amazing.

I personally think he's the best on the mic of all active wrestlers in the WWE. Cena might be better, though.

I agree, CM is pretty damn good on the mic. Been watching that guy since he was in the LWF wrestling in Mokena, Il

Nah, he doesn't have the mic skills to pull this off, and unfortunately in Wrestling Entertainment, being a good wrestler is only half the package. If they had a stable full of managers like in the golden era, I'd say possibly, but ATM, all the managers are heels, and I don't think anybody would buy Vicky coming back as one of the good guys to manage Bryan. Although, admittedly, now that I think about it, I might actually prefer that to the re-hashed evil Mcmahons.

He had decent mic skills, though, which as I already said, would carry someone, especially someone like Bret, who also was a fantastic wrestler.

Punk has mediocre mic skills?

Yeah. He was a perfect fit for raging against the establishment with his "straight edge" image, but that got played to hell when he faced Cena over the past two years. It even got to the point where others were poking fun at his pipe bombs because they'd become just another cliche.

I'm not a Prime Time Players fan personally. I think they are pretty pedestrian in the ring, though supposedly the big guy is good on the mic (he hasn't had many chances to show off on regular WWE TV).

I'm thrilled that Daniel Bryan is now "the man" in the WWE, though it still seems bizarre. No one has worked harder for it, so he's certainly earned anything he's achieved. I wish WWE would get Cesaro the hell out of his tag team and start pushing him as a legit, singles threat (something I was saying about Bryan about this time last year :D ). Guys like him, Bryan, and Seth Rollins are the real future of the WWE for fans of in-ring performance. Someone else pointed out to me that Cesaro would have been a better choice than Ryback as Heyman's muscle, and I agree. Providing Heyman to help sell him could pay huge dividends, since Cesaro is the real deal in the ring. Heyman helped launch Steve Austin's career this way back in the '90s. It's just not going to happen with Curtis Axel or Ryback, I'm afraid.

I'm actually a big fan of Antonio Cesaro. That guy is extremely skillful who deserves a push. It's a shame Vince McMahon is not a fan of his...so I heard.

Every time he does that sarcastic scratching his chin thing, I want to throw **** at my TV. But that promo he cut (opposite Cena, I think?) when he started talking about Wrestling vs Entertainment, I bought it all. He did it with passion, it was great, I couldn't believe it was the same guy.

Now he's back to the sarcastic repeating what people say as a question and scratching the head/beard thing. :(

Well, McMahon was supposedly a big fan of Drew Mcyntire, but look at him now! McMahon's a business-man at the end of the day. If someone warrants a push, it may take awhile, but they'll often get it. I'm cautiously optimistic about Cesar's future. If nothing else, he's recognized as a guy that has good matches with sub-par opponents consistently, so he fills air time with something the audience wants to see. That was previously the role of guys like Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Daniel Bryan. . .but he's a guy who also consistently gets the audiences really into these matches, when based on the character and script, they would have little reason to. That can go a long way to moving someone up the ladder.

He's found a schtick that works for the character he's currently trying to portray. Keeping it simple and predictable is a good thing when you're trying to sell t-shirts to kids. But look back at some of his promos when he was a heel on Smackdown, and you can get a better grasp of the abilities and range this guy has IMO. I'm a bit surprised at how little mic time he's actually had since his recent push, btw. He usually gets a few sentences in before someone comes out and interrupts him for whatever reason. Cena would sometimes go on for what seemed like 10-15 minutes.
