They tried to when he first came. He didnt learn more than 2 wrestling moves and no sold everything. He was, and still is incredibly awkward in the ring and has no personality. He stank up buy rates and tv ratings as a serious character.

At least now that he is a gimmik character kids will stop their parents from switching channel. They are doing the only thing they can with him

The guy is a moron. Didnt he eliminate himself from an over the top rope battle royal once by climbing over the top rope instead of through it?

I'll let him know what you think of him :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Seriously though, i'd have him in their films rather than the ring. I think he did ok in The Longest Yard remake and could be an awesome Bond henchman, if the director could extract a performance from him in the same way McTiernan got a performance out of Arnie in the 1st Predator film.

I thought he was great in Get Smart.

They only turn Del Rio babyface whenever Mysterio and Sin Cara are injured. Which happens about 3 times a year. So the mexican audience has somebody to cheer for. Which is annoying to me because i like to see momentum change character naturally not have it be forced because the 2 cartoon character mexicans cant draw without having to bounce off the ropes and fly.

I prefer heel ADR. Calling people little chiwawa's. I dont like caring ADR who looks devastated after he hits Father Christmas at 3mph

I just googled it. Surprising to see that about Del Rio. Seemed odd they gave him a face turn at the PPV, then on RAW a couple of weeks later he runs over Santa and gets humiliated by Cena as the fans cheer on. WWE didn't seem to know what they wanted to do with the guy, now this.

He's got a look, charisma, and serviceable in-ring skills. I don't see him succeeding on the level of guys like Austin or HHH, but it could do his career good to make him less of a pure heel I think. I think he would benefit from wearing a mask. WWE has become too accustomed to making the masked guys silent, flying luchadores. But if they had a guy with personality like Del Rio I think the fans would appreciate the novelty.

I think Del Rio is better in the ring than 95% of the roster, and I would have been fine with him staying 100% heal... Still, this could be part of some sort of larger storyline with him turning on a babyface.

Orrrrrr, he could be a transitional champ for Ziggler to cash in on realistically. Because the way Big Show is billed at the moment 20 chair shots wouldnt put him down. So i dont think a surprise Zig Zag would

well he would need to have come out of a match like the one with sheamus or mark henry for the zig zag to work

Maybe 95% of the roster who get major TV time :D

I think he's good, but I wouldn't put him on the level of a CM Punk/Dolph Ziggler/Daniel Bryan/Antonio Cesaro/Seth Rollins/Cody Rhodes/Tyson Kidd. Not that this has much to do with his ability to get a push in the WWE.

As good as Punk is skill-wise, I'm sick to death of his shtick. Even his mic skills are starting to suffer now which is becoming painfully obvious against Rocky. Punk's a cow they've milked dry. I think Ziggler's right behind him in that aspect and we both know Bryan's only hurting his career ATM. :lol

He's extremely good, but almost anyone will get old if they get too much exposure. Very few exceptions to that IMO. At some point, he'll lose the title, fall down the totem pole a bit, and it will probably benefit him whenever they give him another big push. Having said that, even after all the exposure he's a hell of a lot less annoying than most other champs we've seen in recent years.

It's sad though when I'm rooting for Cena to beat his *** and take the belt. :lol I'm sick of Cena's 1-trick pony but even more sick of Punk. He desperately needs a couple years of jumping off Raw and trolling Smackdown with a new act. :lol

MY personal favorite wrestler is Randy Orton. He is still so young. He is only 32 and is younger than Sheamus. They cant be done with him winning championships yet.

True that.

One of Orton's major problems seems to be violating WWE rules. From my understanding, he's a strike away from being kicked to the curb.
