Apart from Y2J, that was probably the worst royal rumble match I have ever watched.

Loved the title match, I thought Rock was just going to win it straight out, so when punk pinned him the first time it was a bit of a surprise. But damn it was great to see Rock win.

But now all there is to look forward to at wrestlemania is Rock losing to Cena as payback for Cena losing last year. DO NOT WANT:monkey4:monkey4

How I wished the rumble would of went is this, Undertaker returning and winning the rumble for the 2nd time, then going on to Mania to face the Rock for the title.

But no you've got have Cena to keep those 4 year olds happy. This is why I don't really watch wwe any more.

The results of the Rumble and Title match were obvious and I hated the results. Rock winning really undermines both Punk and the full time top tier roster. If you want to give the title to a part time guy then here is what I would have liked happen:

Punk vs Rock goes down the same way, selling the attack on the Rock by the Shield. Vince comes out and right as he is going to strip Punk, lights go out, then...Undertaker bells toll as the lights come back on. He just stares down Vince and then stares at Punk in the ring, just says "It wasn't the Shield...it was me!" Could throw in a cut to the Shield down in back. Punk and Vince in shock as they both thought it was the Shield. End of PPV, Punk still champ.

At RAW, Taker comes out to explains his motives. He doesn't want a mid/high card match, he wants to face Punk with his title streak against Takers Wrestlemania streak in the main event. At Wrestlemania, Taker beats Punk for the belt in the main event. From there, it could go several ways. Have Ziegler cash in the Money In The Bank shot after the match and have Taker pass the torch or you could have Taker beat Ziegler. The next night at Raw if Taker beats Ziegler, Taker retires as the champion and then there is a championship tournament set up.

This lets Undertaker get his last match in a Wrestlemania as a main event and one last title win to cement his legacy. Being one of the most respected guys in the locker room, he would deserve this kind of legendary send off instead of the Rock.

Would have been easier if Taker would have come back and won the Rumble.

Just my two cents.

You know Ziggler holds the briefcase for a WHC match though right?

WWE just got a wholeeeeee lot more boring.

Yup :exactly:

As soon as Cena won the Rumble I knew WM was Cena vs Rock Pt II - The Boring-ing.

According to Wrestlezone.com (h/t PWInsider.com), former UFC star and current WWE part-time talent Brock Lesnar has agreed to an extension with WWE.

He signed a one-year deal prior to last year's WrestleMania that was set to expire at the conclusion of this year's Mania.

The deal is reportedly for two years, which places Lesnar in WWE until WrestleMania 31. This extension may have an impact on his return and create more feuds in the future.

The last time Lesnar was seen on WWE programming, he touted his resignation from WWE in order to save his remaining appearances for the buildup of WrestleMania. This was after defeating Triple H at SummerSlam. The storyline was left virtually open-ended as the two superstars have been seldom seen since then, so there may be an opportunity to rekindle that feud in the coming months.

But now that Lesnar has agreed to remain in WWE, he may not face Triple H immediately upon his return. WWE may decide to place Lesnar in more high-profile matches, possibly competing for either the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar has shown that he can draw more audiences, given that last year’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view, which pitted him against John Cena, sold very well.

His return mixed in his MMA background with his wrestling abilities, which made for more compelling matches.

WWE is hoping that Lesnar is able to draw more viewers on a regular basis.

But Lesnar only had two matches under his belt since his return; there will definitely be more opponents and matches to come now that he signed an extension.

Brock Lesnar wasn't the only man to sign a WWE contract over the weekend.

According to NoDQ.com, Chris Jericho has been signed to a short-term deal that will see him work full-time through WrestleMania 29.

Chris Jericho returned at last night's Royal Rumble PPV, entering the Rumble at No. 2 and starting the match with his most recent rival, Dolph Ziggler.

The report notes that current plans are for Jericho to feud with Dolph Ziggler and then turn heel. There was even talk of a Jericho vs Ryback match for WrestleMania 29, though it hasn't been confirmed.

Jericho and Ziggler's feud culminated with a match at last year's SummerSlam, and then another one on Raw the next night, which saw Jericho put his career on the line for a shot at Ziggler's Money in the Bank contract. Jericho, who needed to be written off of TV, lost the match and wasn't seen again until last night.

If the reports are true, it's likely that we'll see a Jericho vs Ziggler match at the Elimination Chamber PPV, and hopefully they'll get more than the 13 minutes they got at SummerSlam.

The idea of a match between Jericho and Ryback is a little odd. There's a lot of potential in the buildup, as Ryback is somewhat of an underdeveloped character, and Jericho can definitely help mold him into a more well-rounded superstar.

Despite that, it's hard to imagine a match that doesn't see Ryback annihilating Jericho with relative ease.

As noted, the report did state that the match was "yet to be confirmed", so take that particular news with a grain of salt.

If the match with Ryback doesn't happen, there are still plenty of options for WWE to go with. Jericho beat Daniel Bryan in his first televised WWE match, so just salivate over that feud and maybe it will become a reality.

Regardless, Chris Jericho put on a terrific performance at the Royal Rumble last night and is, as we know, one of the best and most dynamic superstars in the industry today.

Jericho has often turned whatever WWE gives him into gold, so no matter what he's an asset to the business and great for fans, as well as another ace up WWE's sleeve for this year's WrestleMania season.

You know Ziggler holds the briefcase for a WHC match though right?

Yep, he could have easily either been removed from my idea or the rules could easily be changed. Just as he teased in his promo last night, he wanted to unify the world championship titles at Wrestlemania.

That is something that may be in the works (unifying the world championships not that Ziegler would be involved) anyway as they have pretty much done away with the brands and would bring more prestige back to having one world champion.

Well, Jericho feuded with Goldberg (i.e., Ryback 1.0) before.

I cringed so hard when the crowd started chanting "youv'e still got it" to Jericho. He has only been gone for a toilet break since his last run. And could probably still outwork most of the younger guys on the roster now.

*shiver*

Vader and Y2J getting the same chant of "you've still got it". Theres no justice!

hmmm ...
I hadn't watched WWE faithfully ..., Mostly Due to my Job, and working Swings.

I was flipp'in thru the Channels Last Monday ..., and I saw The Rock. So, I watched. I think He's still got all the Magic and Allure , that He Presents. He's so Damn Entertaining, and Makes me wanna watch.

The New Group of Super Stars Just Leaves me with a "Meh" Comment at Best. It's good to read this Thread, and Know that Jericho is Back , and Hopes of HHH Follow.

Ziggler's a good Heal ..., But Just not as good as the Good 1's ..., and NO WHERE near as good as the Great 1's. I dunno what to even think of CM Punk and his recent direction, or Even Riy-Berg .

Everyone's a Hater of Cena ...
Sure the whole " Eat your Vitamins , and say your Prayer" crap gets old to people like us ..., and his whole damn Skit is Krusty to say the Least....
But the Guy Appeals to Kids..., and I don't think His Charity and Giving back , when not needed goes unmatched. And I just have to Respect that , and Him for doing so. If I were ever in that place of popularity in life, and had the funds to make a difference to people and people in need, or the less fortunate, I wish I could do a fraction of what He does.

Didnt his wife also file for divorce because hes been sleeping with half the women in the locker room? And that he holds talent down so he can keep his spot. As is reported by numerous ex WWE talent.

Superficially Cena appears to be a really nice guy. Reading what happens behind the scenes can sour your view of the character.

I obviously Don't know what Really goes on then , other than what the Media wants you to see.

I only remember Steve Austin in Trouble yrs back for Aledgidly beating his Wife...., That Chick that used to Hang with Jeff Jarred. Knowing stuff like that, can sour 1's view.

I didn't know this about Cena.

Ive got a feeling this years wrestlemania is just going to be a copy of last years

Cena is dating Nikki Bella from my understanding. Unsure about him sleeping with half of the locker room. The only thing that I'm aware of is Kenny "Dystra" Doane shooting that Cena had an affair with his ex-fiance, Mickie James and it's one of the reasons why neither are with the company any longer.

I've heard rumblings that Cena is the one behind Alex Riley getting depushed and off of TV. The rumor is that Cena played a "rib" on Riley in front of other wrestlers....it set Riley off and came back at Cena. Cena complained that Riley "broke the code of the locker-room."

I hate the nice guy schtick of the guy. He does the same thing other top guys go through when they are handed that spot in the company. They become very protective. Everybody from Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels have been guilty in the past of using their "spot" to their advantage. Cena is no different.

As far as his Make A Wish stuff...while I respect what he does...I don't appreciate these sick kids being used as numbers for Cena and the WWE to gloat about on their broadcasts. It's not fair. If Cena truly wants to be there for those kids that request them as part of their "Wish", he should speak up and tell the WWE brass to back off on throwing the numbers of how many wishes he does per year and that he is the most requested celebrity. Who else does that??

If this happens, they need to lose the blinged up "CHAMP" belt and either make Del Rio's belt the new top belt, or introduce a new belt with a more classic design.
McMahon using the old NWA/WCW championship belt as the primary championship of his company. . .sure, that could happen :D

Spinner belt sucks SO HARD. Punk said they were going to change it over a year ago. . .guess the merchandise money won out.

And I have mixed feelings about Cena. Obviously, I don't care for his in-ring work or anything, and the fact that he apparently keeps talent down. The Make A Wish stuff I always saw as part of his job. It's good that he does it, I'm happy for the kids, but I'm not sure what his motives are. It doesn't really matter to me though. Even if WWE/Cena is capitalizing on it, those kids are still getting their wishes granted, and that's all that matters on that front IMO. He's the WWE cash cow, so he's here until the little kids choose someone else to take his place.

I really don't follow wrestling all that much, since they really don't know how to push guys or make decent feuds.

But didn't punk say cena is one of the hardest working guys, back when cena was feuding with the rock? Also, I thought he was married to his gf that traveled every where with him, even before he became famous?
