Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

This looks amazing, I'm so excited, just the shot of Mulder in suit calling Scully just made me feel like they're really back. I can't believe, the office looks just as it did in the finale, down to where the I want to believe poster was, crazy. Almost didn't recognize Skinner's face, but ending with CSM was awesome, wondering if he'll just be voice over to his younger self, glad his voice hasn't changed much with age.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

I know it's so little go to on, but I'm really worried this is going to be so good, it's gonna sting so bad when it's over to know it'd done again. It was almost easy to swallow the end of I Want to Believe because it was just ok, for their first reunion since the show ended, it could have been more, this show looks like everything a proper reunion should be and I never get tired of these two characters.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

im a little confused, is this a direct sequel series to the original series, if so i thought the smocking man was dead, and that they had found the truth , where a couple and have a kid they placed into adoption, and that they where being hunted down by the aliens in the end and where last seen together before the series ended.

I've heard some of these plots were explained in the season 10 comics, which are apparently canon.

I hope they explain this to viewers who haven't read the comics.

I never read the comics and I'd like to know. I'm sure they will explain what happened.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Yeah i hope they wont do like the second film where they never touched on the series ending story and made it a religious story instead. I mean come on, they where hunted down by aliens, the truth was known (mostly) and they where on the run from the government also, show me what happens right after, thats the interesting part imo

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

If the plot involves the use of alien technology, then I assume a revival of the conspiracy and that perhaps the 2012 invasion did not happen, perhaps stalled by events from the series.

My issue with the 2nd movie is that the circumstance of their return is unbelievable. I don't know the comics, did they come before it, did they explain a world where the situations of the movie could work out? The show ends with aliens taking over within the FBI and the movie's just like, no that's over, come on back we need you for a missing agent case.

December 8th: X-Files Collector's Box Set

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

That's a really cool box, Blu Ray would be nice, especially if they really clean up the early seasons, I'd just have a hard time working it in the budget right now and I have all 9 on DVD at least.

I'm so ready for this new series. Teasers have been epic. Started watching it again from S1. On S4 ep 12

I forgot how creepy the fluke worm man was

Now all we need is someone to announce new 1/6 figures. Man that would be sweet. I'd go back and read all the old Topps comics with art by Charlie Adlard again. Great memories!

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

If anyone does figures I'd want season 5/6 looks for Mulder and Scully.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Halfway through season 3 of my rewatch.

Totally agree about someone making Mulder and Scullu figures. Would be my grail pieces.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Also looks like Netflix now has the HD series, I noticed the other night watching Season 1, it suddenly went to widescreen and a much nicer picture quality.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Netflix does have hd series. Looks great. I ****ing love the Inro

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

I really hope the new series, even though a mini series, uses an opening like the original show with the classic theme, that'd really make it feel like X-Files was back.

I'm blow away by the HD cleanup, some of the early seasons on DVD really felt like clearly 90s television with some of the picture quality effects. I can't believe how pristine and modern it looks now.

Re: The Truth May Still Be Out There! The X-Files potentially back!

Bugger. I just watched the first couple of seasons on Netflix with the original quality. Glad they've touched it all up.
