I did see it last night.

Same as always.

I get hyped for an MCU movie because trailers are cool and exit the theater feeling nothing because the whole thing was a nothing burger.

I see all the people hype and excited after the movie and I wonder if those poor souls don't know any better.

To be fair, I don't know if it's because I saw it dubbed, or it was a premiere, or if the movie was really that bland...

Iron Man and Incredible Hulk are the only Marvel movies with any real distinct identity to them. As soon as Disney took over, everything became the same. I get that some people are fine with these films just treading water and going through the motions and that's all they need to enjoy themselves, but it's just not for me any more.

I’m not sure what people want from these movies. Marvel did something totally different: made a movie about a villian
and he won
.

Why do people here keep asking that? As if it's hard to figure out.

I understand non-geeks out there liking it and being perplexed there are people who don't like these movies, they don't know better, but people here? Nerds? We who are the gatekeepers of pop-culture and fiction? We who have consumed better entertainment? We who have seen better?

Have you not read a better comicbook, a better book, or seen a better movie than Infinity War or The Last Jedi? No, Not the Godfather, No, it doesn't need to be Oscar worthy :lol but have you not?

Why does the hype brigade act like we should be grateful and Disney is doing us a favor?

Are you really convinced we're just bitter nerds who don't like anything? I mean, I don't resent that, more power to you I guess.

Ah, brings back memories of that one time when we had a picnic, and two officers draged me and one of my pals to the nearest station for drinking alcho. Of course they didn't actually care for the fact that we were doin' something illegal - weather was pretty bad and the park was completely empty. They hoped we'd bribe them. That didn't work, so we signed papers and were said to expect fine receipts in our mail boxes... that never came. :lol
