That video of the beagles gave me a sad. I'm happy they are free now...but the thought of animals spending their lives in cages is just heartbreaking.

people drown yes, but then their bodies do not stay at the bottom of the river DO THEY?? :monkey4:monkey4
why do you think in movies they tie down bricks and stuff to throw people.....

Many people do not float naturally. Every body eventually rises due to internal gas build-ups during decomposition.

REALLY?????

I didn't know that!!!

:pfft:

I really do recommend learning to swim. It is mostly technique. I nearly drowned when I was young...and my sister actually did drown but was revived by my uncle. So I had a serious fear of water that was deeper than my chin. But I still loved to swim anyway. When I joined the Marines, swimming was an absolute requirement. Between my training in the service and then getting certified as a rescue diver, I got very comfortable with water. I can now float for long periods of time with my feet tied together and my hands tied behind my back (in a pool, at least...it would be very different in say...the ocean:lol). I had to be able to do that for an hour to get the swim qualification that I did in the service. The technique was not very hard to learn...and once I had the technique down, doing an hour was pretty easy.

I love chocolate chip cookies that are crunchy. I was shopping today in the gluten free section and saw a new brand of chocolate chip cookies and they were crunchy.

I bought them. I took them home and ate 3 of them. They were DELICIOUS!! A perfect chocolate chip cookie that is gluten free! AMAZING!!

Then I read the label and realized they are not gluten free and were put in the wrong section. :lol I'm still going to eat them all though. :D
I think all those soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies taste like crap. Have a chemical taste to them. Give me a crunchy cookie any day.

what was the technique? to do that?

Inhale a deep lung full of air, jump in, curl your legs for a kick as you are going under by pulling your feet as close to your butt as possible and tilt your head back so your nose is the first thing to break the surface as you come up. When your nose breaks the surface, kick your legs to lift you a little farther out of the water and exhale and inhale deeply, quickly. As you go back under, curl your legs for the next kick and wait for your nose to break the surface again. The cycle requires minimal effort and can be done for long periods of time. Getting a rhythm is critical.

As stupid as it may seem for me to post the disclaimer, I do so because I live in California. And it is not intended specifically for you, blackmask.

I used to work at a Doubletree, and they gave out chocolate chip cookies at check in. There was a warmer built into the wall behind the desk and everything.

These cookies were made with Ghiardelli chocolate chips, each one had half a stick of butter in it, and they were calorically equivalent to a Big Mac. They had to put crushed walnuts in the recipe just to hold them together.

I ate seven one night.

Good story. :)

read buoyancy.
and dead bodies(not fresh ones) float when they turn into fart bags(decomposition).

you have better chance floating in the dead sea, with no skill involved.
