When I was 12, my well-meaning uncle told me I could "catch diabetes" from eating too much candy. Of course, his advice was likely a scare tactic to help me tame my overactive sweet tooth. I later found out that while loading up on sweets is not a direct cause of diabetes, sugary foods can trigger the condition in someone with prediabetes.

I worked 12 out of the last 14 days, including Thanksgiving, and I lost $315 to a tax levy. Three weeks before Christmas...

It would be nice to know that they were that aggressive with people who make 10 times as much as I do.

I got a tenure bonus not too long ago and due to taxes I only got half of it.

Tax is just their way of keeping us down .......... I know it sounds cliche but its true. Keep us like a bunch of chimps distracted from the finer things in life. This part of the world is hard on people. Tax is ef'n busll____ and the ones that don't protest it are already lost.

Yeah whenever my wife recieves a bonus they take almost half here too. What a ____ing joke! And why? Because she didn't work for it? I can never trust any form of government.
