You shouldn't get into any trouble at all. You're being recorded all the time without your knowledge on outdoor CCTVs, passerbys using their iPhones to film each other, etc.

isn't recording people without them knowing you are illegal? I know some kid got into legal trouble and trouble in school for recording the bullies that were beating him up (Yes, the kid got in trouble, not the ones beating the crap out of him)

I don't think it's illegal if you're in public.

I remember seeing this video on YouTube. The guy recording it was such an ass, but he wasn't committing any crimes by putting people on video.

I've had hotel guests try to film employees in the hotel and have told them to leave or I'll take their camera. Then I took their camera.

More complicated when they're outside on the sidewalk making the same problem, but being off the hotel property, again, I took that ******'s camera. He was welcome to assault me for it while I'm off property too, where the hotel's liability does not exist.
