Ween talks about the golden age of this forum when " there was no threadcrapping or foolish trolling" yet before you guys got here we had the likes of celticpredator, nam, butters, larja darkness and others that made the board very hostile and aggressive ( specially to newcomers) i hate to say it but even pixletwin would join in on that even thejosh wasnt as nice as some of the other members/mods.
Those guys make today's boards feel like the carebear boards.
Sure theres a lot of trolling in the movie section now but at least theres humor to it, jye's photoshops are always hilarious, riddick, gaspar, clown, snake, zach, prince bring the funny bants, post memes. Even kara and khev joke around and post funny things . I much rather have todays boards than the boards ween misses.

Back then if you had thin skin those guys would make you wanna cry... it was nothing but constant fights and personal attacks and real bullying... at least now people are having a good laugh ( ive gotten rep even from mods from some of my jokes) i do really appreciate gaspar, clown, jye snake zach and riddick for keeping it interesting. Sometimes i come in to see what they posted. Ween and hoodonit might call it threadcrapping or trolling but at least now it isnt so hostile as it used to be. Celticpredator would literally pick a fight daily....
Nam would litetally drive people to quit the forum.... sorry but i dont miss that. Im not sure what it is that ween misses

Back in the old days, long gone, members would (for lack of a better word) haze people. It was usually good natured but occasionally people would show their teeth. It would almost always end in friendships. But it was a dance where a new guy would get on the nerves of the "elite" and if they contributed and showed their cleverness, would become friends. Crows is a great example of this.

Now, posters are just *******s for the sake of being *******s and posting becomes a great big pile on of pettiness of which the perpetrators are seemingly ignorant. They stink up every thread with posts they think are clever (really it's just bitter negativity, but they don't understand that). Sometimes this place resembles one of those videos you see of a bunch of losers beating up on one guy and laughing with open mouths while they high five each other.

I love SSF. But it was something better at one time. That is all.

From the very beginning when I joined, the bulk of old members were pricks. This hasn't changed. It's a toy forum, get over yourself and your join dates.

You got people like Difabio that gets banned over nothing, while I see a clique of members that have been ****** to people here for years and years and never get slapped. There's nothing good natured being a **** head to people needlessly.

Im only here because dealing with nam and celtic on a daily basis made me grow the skin of a rhino lol.

And Nam and Celtic are no longer with us either. And haven't been for a long time.

I've been lurking this board since 2008. I remember people going nuts over the very first Hot Toys Iron Man, and the original Dark Knight figures. For whatever reason I never actually signed up until 2014. I remember quietly spectating some truly vicious arguments over completely trivial bull**** back then, anyone who thinks old SSF was some bastion of gentlemanly civility that's been latterly ruined by newcomers needs to take off the rose-tinted glasses.

I was always under the impression you, like many, couldn't decide what you wanted it to be.

I like crows though, nice and short. Blackmask would be the runner up, crows fits you nice though.

Yup, I was a lurker since 2008 as well, I remember lurking the V1 Joker thread which convinced me to buy it and get into this disastrous hobby. One day I think I had a question on 1/6 figures heights compared to each other so I said **** it, made an account and asked.

the people who don’t are the ones who are too naive and can’t respect honestly. Di and I disagree a lot on films values but we always respect the opposite opinion.

sometimes his honesty really upsets some of the children here.
