Most people who claim they like Beer never drink non-alcoholic Beer. Because Beer sucks. I like getting buzzed, but I hate drinking Liquor AND beer. Just like the effects they give you from drinking them. Only reason I've ever bothered drinking i.e. if you didn't get buzzed/drunk from Beer and Liquor that whole industry would collapse.

I like non-alcoholic beer.

It's gotta be the right stuff though. I don't like O’Douls and Sharps, for the same reason I'm not a fan of regular Bud and Miller.

One particularly good NA is Clausthaler. I also like Kaliber. And have yet to try St. Pauli NA.



Believe it or not there are people that genuinely love the taste of beer. It may not be as simple and immediate as liking a wine cooler (or Mt. Dew for that matter), but once you acquire a taste for beer it can become a very fulfilling experience. Same thing with a good glass of wine. Sweet is just sweet. End of story. But the plethora of flavors that come from a great bear or nice glass of red wine provide a much more fulfilling experience.

Now Mt. Dew and Wine Coolers taste nasty to me.

And when I drink a good India Pale Ale it sounds like I'm having sex because of all the "mmmmmm delicious" noises I make.

I don't drink any alcohol because of medication I take except on special occasions like when my friends come over and we have a cookout. Even then I'm not suppose to and probably wont anymore because last time I felt a definite interaction between the meds and the alcohol going on.

But people who smoke pot should be allowed to do so in the privacy of their own home.

I like non-alcoholic beer.

Believe it or not there are people that genuinely love the taste of beer.

There are also people who genuinely love the taste of whiskey, rum, tequila, vodka, and gin. I don't think they'd like the taste of non-alcoholic. In fact, I bet they'd tell you that a genuine love of the spirit means loving the taste of the whole drink. There is no substitute for the taste of a liquor's alcoholic content.

I think the same would apply to the taste of wine (can you imagine non-alcoholic port??? wtf...) and beer. Non-alcoholic is a betrayal of a genuine love of drinking.

Non alcoholic beer is indeed a different experience. It lacks much of the flavor of a similar style regular beer.


But there are tasty non alcoholic beers out there. Have you tried Clausthaler?



P.S. I also love Gin.


The argument about non alcoholic spirits is not really fair because the alcohol content is so high compared to beer. Without the alcohol, not much is left in a spirit.
