Looking at my emails, seems I haven't bought a toy since January. I really didn't think it had been quite that long. Holy ****. That's gotta be a record for me.

And where the hell is 2018 going in such a hurry...

I got my shipping notice for Asmus' Gimli. That's the last and only thing I have ordered. Unless I sell some things, I'm pretty much done collecting. Just can't afford it anymore.

Yeah, high-end is pretty much over for me.

Must haves? There are none
Would like to haves? There are some but there never seems to be a good time for me to buy, I delay and then the prices have only gotten higher next time I look
Total impulse buys? Nope, can't do it anymore

Just NECA for me now. Although I don't feel like I'm 'settling' for those because they're staying loyal to the licenses I really treasure whereas Hot Toys most decidedly is not. Also, full plastic figures have an appeal to me that is obviously missing from 1:6 dolls.

Last thing I got was Tamashii R2-D2 and I can't remember when that was - January maybe. The kids have become more expensive, the exchange rate is crap and probably won't ever improve, our government has introduced a 10% tax on imports, and the MSRP of a standard HT figure only gets higher.

The last batch of figures I got were the HT Star Wars OT main cast, and every single one of them had an issue that took the gloss off the purchase (mostly the likeness). I'm sure I'll come across a tempting release at some point in the future, but I feel pretty well done with "high end".

That'll do it alright.

Last ones for me were still Battle Damaged Robocop/Murphy set and Batman Returns when they were new releases. I think I bought another MMS202 Robocop after those somewhere along the line. I actually want to buy another BD Robocop & Murphy set but again there never feels like a good time to spend 500euro on one thing.

If you bought those Robocop parts after all that stuff then your last 1/6 purchase may have also been my last 1/6 purchase. :lol

Hah, I can't remember the chronology exactly. It's been awhile for you then aswell. I actually still haven't put those parts to their intended use - that's why I want another BD Robocop.

If you say it slower it only sounds worse.

5.
Hundred.
Euro.

Kinda gives you a lot of time to think of all the other cool things that cost that much but aren't dolls.

I'm an ***** today. I could easily offload a few for a decent amount right now but can't be arsed. I should get on it... puuuuuurge.

In that case I remain an ***** too. Tonnes of stuff I could sell but that's the very problem. It's too damn daunting. Meanwhile it takes up space and contributes to the general clutter of the house by occupying space in the attic that could be used for other junk.

I have a large collection of Hasbro Star Wars prequel toys and a bunch of loose, potentially discolored or broken McFarlane Movie Maniacs figures in the attic. I feel it'd be a nightmare to sort through, document, figure out the economy of selling it - individually? By lot? What should be in each lot? What would the shipping be and how to price accordingly? What if people start wanting one thing from lot A and 2 things from lot B, throwing all my plans out of whack? :gah:

I'd be tempted to just give all that stuff away to avoid the hassle but if there's money there I can't really afford to be throwing it away. But I won't know if there's money there if I don't take it all down and research - kind of a catch 22 situation.
