think SS will beat Medicoms Boba?

Since I dont own a Medi Jango or Boba, I will definatly grab those 2 from Sideshow.
I cant tell if they will top Medis releases, because I dont own them...but I am going to wait for them with my arms open :D

From personal experience and from studying photos, I think that anything that Medicom does, Sideshow does it better.

Sideshow Stormtroopers are far better than Medicom's. Sideshow's Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker Jedi were better. Sideshow's Indiana Jones was far better.

Even a Hasbro OTC Stormtrooper has more presence among Sideshows than Medicom's skinny alternative. They're a far closer match to my SS Stormy.

I find Sideshow's facial sculpting to be superior to the soft, rubbery look of Medicom attempts. Sideshow's bodies may not be up to the same flexible standards, but are probably a lot more robust (though the Prometheus can have a tendency to be too flexible).

That said, I think an SS Boba will be a must have.

There are no reasons to think the opposite, i'm sure that SSC makes a great figure , they still have some things for improving the figure.

I think certain things each company does better. The Clones by SS while better for the most part are still off in some ways. The helmet is off and shoulder bells are attached to the straps, the body suit is not as nice on the SS. The SS armor looks better to me and is less restrictive though.
I think scale is a point of view. If I had mostly Medi figures I could say that the SS scale is too bulky and large. Which is how I think some of the SS figs appear. As far as Stormys go, out of the box the Medi are better imo. The bodys on the SS Stormys are what killed it for me.

I had a stock SS Anakin ROTS figure and a repainted one but neither are close to the Medi Anakin I have now imo.

Your right on about human sculpts. Medi Maul and Anakin being the exception to me.

The bodies on the Medi are improved now and a lot more durable.

But, they still are a great figures......

I think SS Boba Fett will probably be better. I hope they do use a better body for him than they used for the Stormtrooper. Mine was constantly falling down and couldn't hold a pose due to the really loose foot joints.

My Medicom Fett is one of my favorite figures; he just looks awesome. But I am anxious for Sideshow's version. I also believe that Sideshow's Storm/Sandtroopers are superior to Medicom. I know the ESB Fett has already been done before, but I hope that is the version Sideshow goes with. I can't wait to pose this figure next to Vader when released.

Something that Medicom seems to do, is use plastic for belts and holsters, whereas SS goes for pleather which has a much more natural texture, and more expensive look.

Desperate for a Boba in my collection, and not inclined to spend as much as a Medicom version demands, I opted for the Hasbro OTC. He's a little short (about the same as Medicom), but he looks pretty incredible (for a Hasbro!) I have him stood in the classic pose as fantasymaker has in his first photo above, and he looks very little different. I know that Medicom has more detail and movement when you get up close and personal.

Medicom do their best work when they're not sculpting human faces, as joda wrote, and there's little wrong with the Medicom Boba visually. Which makes me think that the SS version will be something really special.

Very true on the belts and holsters. I swapped my Medi Anakin belt for a SS belt

Belt materials are another reason why I'm more interested in Sideshow Jango Fett than Boba. Boba's belt is tolerable as plastic on the Medi figure because it has no affect on posability or anything, it just looks so-so, but with Jango and the way his holster wrap around his legs, I found the plastic on the Medi to not give you much room for posing his legs around, a bit too restrictive for me where leather ones will have some give to them.

Judging from SS vader, I just expect accuracy to be not so good, and the scale better than Medi, but thing is that Medi Boba scale doesn't bother me nearly as much as Medi vader. And sculpt wise SS just WILL not improve it, since its just spot on with Medi, paint wise they will not either I think, I expect the materials used on SS to be better and thats it.. Wish there was a way to make SS jedi luke a bit shorter and his head a little smaller though.
