GI Joe has a gun = action figure

GUN = ACTION!

I say if it has a weapon, if it can be articulated into action poses, action figure. But I get "doll" all day long from my wife and her sisters. I say 1 word sums it ALL up...........................................................................................................................................................................TOY


They're all toys to me, I may not play with them like a kid, but I'd say futzing around with them in dif. poses and setting them up differently dictates playing, so they're toys and we're all happy and don't feel less masculine.

G.I. Joe has the Kung Fu-grip. Barbie does not. Unless she has some kind of thigh-crushing action , she's not an "action figure."

Well of course they are toys, all action figures are toys, but not all toys are action figures. Toy is a very vague word really.
