Glad to see you around tonight Josh. Nice to know troubles didn't keep you from Spook.

Thanks man... I just wanted to try to squeeze some enjoyment out of my favorite Holiday this year.

I just think it's crazy that some people would take one of my ONLY non work related posts this entire year.. and make it into an opportunity to rip me apart again. :thud:

Josh, I've started taking/doing customs of late and all I can say is that I can see the ugly part of this and you can only see the ugly part of it if you are the guy on the other side of the fence.

Seeing what had taken place, I myself have taken extreme caution onto letting Freaks/members what I do and what I can do with customs and what I shouldn't do. If anything this opens up the doors on how ugly it can get for a customizer doing commissions for such a community. I think if anything it teaches all of a lesson, a good lesson! :lecture

I thank you for opening up my eyes to a lot of ppl here on the board as I've read your refund thread.

Nice pics Josh, good luck in the contest.

Someone has to be the victim.

I think the point is with the help of Jen and Carl the mess is starting to come to end. Sooner for some than others, but the wheels are in motion. Josh has explained himself enough for everyone to know what has happened. At this point it is what it is. He hasn't disappeared like others have done previously and is at least sympathetic to the situation. He has manned up to what happened and people need to get off his ____ing back.

Now to get this thread back on track ---

Happy Halloween

Seriously, man? :slap

When I read your post, I thought it was just misplaced, but well intentioned advice. I can understand getting defensive when you got called out, but I can't understand taking shots at him when that wasn't what you were doing in the first place.

Or was it?

Thanks man... I just wanted to try to squeeze some enjoyment out of my favorite Holiday this year.

I hope you got some. If I had it my way, you wouldn't have to scrounge. I don't get why people find it so easy to enshrine your shortcomings and disregard the fact that you were one of this board's most outstanding members.

:lecture:lecture:lecture That's an important point. Despite the ____ he gets, even like Thrifty's rant tonight, he still has the balls to face it. Not only that, but attempting to make it right where others have just written everyone off and disappeared. Not only that but his actions now are helping to teach the future customizers of this board a valuable lesson. So there's more to take away from this than just grief. Besides that, everybody deserves a moment or two to sit down, take a deep breath and remind themselves of the little things that get us from day to day. I didn't see the pics as Josh doing anything more than that. Happy Halloween Josh. :winkpumpk

Thank you guys.. I'm glad there are some people who can see what I am trying to do.

Like what Nam and Prax said... I could have disappeared completely, in fact there was a part of me that wanted to. It would be very easy to disappear like that. But I couldn't do that, I may have screwed up.. but I am not that kind of person. I own up to what I do wrong and I always try to set it right. It may not be perfect, but I can't do that to people.

And this is most DEFINITELY a message to customizers too. If I can spread any wisdom at all for those still doing this, I want to. Customizers need to know that the "Well" is not everlasting, never expect that you will be able to do what you do now forever. Life is very tricky, things happen... and if your desire to paint goes away it's over. So never put yourself in a corner, never have more than a month's worth of commissions at once. Never do pre orders either, it's ok for a company... but one man is only one man.

If your house catches fire, everything is gone. But not only do you suffer, others suffer. And trust me when I say that when people suffer... they don't usually give a crap that you suffer too. They just want their stuff, and rightfully so... because they paid. So remember that. I am a cautionary tale for all customizers. I should have known to be careful when Howes did his thing, but it was already too late for me then... I was already drowning. So to my customizing brethren. Heed my warning... trust me, you don't want this.

I don't know DarkArtist at all, as this was mostly before my time. I also don't deal with customs because of the long wait times involved, but by chance I did acquire a single custom piece. My Darkartist custom painted Sideshow Jason Friday the 13th pt 3 figure....it is unbelievably awesome. I can definitely see why people want him to come back to customizing. Nice to meet you Dark Artist, thanks for the awesome figure and Happy Halloween.

Thank you Balsquat. And I am glad I was able to indirectly add to your collection, knowing that it brought you joy is one of the man reasons I got into this in the first place.. to make people happy.

Happy Halloween to you, and to my fellow Freaks.

Happy Halloween, Josh. My PM's haven't been reaching you (I understand why you don't read them) I've been thinking about you, bro. All the best, you're still the best! :)

Very noble, and I am glad that you didn't just run off like...ahem...Chris Howes...who conned a lot of people out of Skinner, Lone Gunmen etc. heads. I was only lucky because I did not have enough money to pay him for a Skinner.

Too many people take too many commissions at once and it ruins them. I am still waiting for a gallows from some people on Ebay who specialize in western/colonial America stuff and they just keep giving me bull____ excuses and everytime I want to talk about my purchase - that cost a LOT of money - the owner keeps ''going into hospital''. I have been waiting for the gallows for almost two years and now I either want it - though I will hate the thing atleast at first due to being swindled - or I want my money back. I don't think I am going to get either back despite the fact I am far from rich and gave them a lot of money.

It took me literally 3 minutes to do this. Mask and costume I had already, pumpkin I carved last year... add lighting and camera... instant couple of quick shots.

This morning I asked my niece if she wanted to watch scary movies while she waited for it to get dark enough to go trick or treating. She did, so we put on AMC and she immediately got sucked into Halloween, 2, then watched 3 (which she hated) and now we're on 4. She's fixed to the television right now.

I'm glad we missed the first one because she needs to see it unadulterated. The cool part is that I showed her your costume and she gasped.
